Yes it is Earthbound. In Japan its name is Mother 2 but this is the only 'Mother' game released in the US as far as I know. Its a very fun, light harted, but sometimes a little serious RPG.

the only thing to do with a phantom blade i could find was wow, unless ophantom blade is the actual game name
