block topics

could there be a button on each topic in the forum that gives us the option of blocking one topic that i dont like. So if i click block button in the longest thread, it would make it so that the longest thread doesnt show up in the forum anymore for me. it would still be visible to others, just blocked on my game.

that would only really work for the longest thread thread because all others dont last that long.

couldnt you just NOT go into the topic?.........

i think the effort to add that sort of thing could be achieved by less effort, simply NOT going into the topic. but for some i suppose curiosity kill the cat is the phrase im looking for.

I try to avoid hacking the forum code, so this won't make the to-do list. Maybe "topic ignore" will be a feature in phpBB 3.0, the next version of the forum software?
