Any chance that thought could be given to forming a tournament league?

Players enter the league for the map/settings of their choice.

Once the deadline expires, provided that enough players enter the league commences. The league could consist of 6-10 players in each league with divisions 2,3,4 etc if necessary. Each player plays a singles game V all the other players in the league.

The top two get promoted the bottom two relegated, after the first season subsequent entrants go into the lowest league.

There are several tournaments that are already being run like that. Start one yourself if you would like. Of course, read the Tournament Director's Handbook as well as Optimus Prime's website (link located in his forum signature) because he is probably the best tournament host.
