1. I think so, yes - I've read all of the saga and madness threads so I get the principle, though I do understand it varies from game to game a bit - the roles are obviously not 100% clear as I've not seen too many revealed, but I hope I understand enough to be able to bluff one if I have to. If there are any finished games that you think would help me deepen my understanding, please let me know/give me the url and I'll check them out.

2. Yes I'll be active, I already check this site daily anyway as I have about 30 games going. I would probably be less active at weeknights that during the week, due to other commitments, but I can promise to access and post at least daily, and often more regularly than that.

Well, I get the principle - if you're town, vote to lynch Mafia, if you're mafia vote to lynch town (and murder town at night if possible). I get that there's specials and night/day actions etc attached to roles, but again I assume you're told about those and how they work via PM - as I said, I think my biggest problem would be making a convincing false claim, purely due to not knowing how the roles are likely to work/what they're likely to be... But then I might no have to do that anyway...

Alright spin, if it's not starting till that game is over, I'll play. nag's version was good so I think it'd be cool to play the theme again.

I don't know this guy, but I can say 2 things to try and help you make the decision about him spin.

1) I see him on the 'user browsing' tab every day for the Forum Games. (willingness to learn, I know he follows games)
2) He sounds intelligent and could be an asset to the community after he learns more about the game. (unlike a few of the other new players I can think of)

Again, I don't know him or anything I'm just all for new, smart players learning the game and joining the community to keep things from stagnating and to keep a few regs from burning out trying to keep games going.

[/end unjustified defense of someone I don't know]

I think we should be encouraging anyone who looks like they'd be a smart player to join and start playing (key word: smart player). The more diversity we've got, the more fun the games will be. New blood will keep us from loosing interest.

Wow, thanks for that K - yeah, I'm trying to follow the games running ATM. Maybe the forum should run a tournament more geared for noobs at some point - I get that you want experienced and proven players, but us wannabes have got to start somewhere... anyway, thanks for the cautious vote of confidence...
