Simple enough rules to listen to hopefully.
Lives come in a pack of four so you can safely get hurt 4 times before death (Fifth hit kills ya in other words).
Battle field size is 5x5 so plan your moves wisely.
There is no special features of the battlefield save for the SALT NINJA who can either bless you with salt arament, or kill you with it.
You also have 2 grenades to use which I will explain in the attack phase.
MOVE PHASE:
You move one square per phase of movement. (No diagonal movement)
You will be able to occupy a space your opponent is in so you can perhaps pull off a kamakazie attack with a 0 fuse grenade.
Moves do NOT wrap around to the other side of the map. (In other words, you can't go from A3 to E3)
ATTACK PHASE:
There are TWO ways to attack.
Way one: Weapon combat. Using this kind of attack, you are going to be able to inflict immiediate damage, but only damaging one shield piece off and being able to be blocked is going to prove a pain. Also, you can only attack people adjacent or on your square. (Diagonals do not count)
Way two: Grenades... These little explosive puppies can inflict 2 damage upon a foe and gets by a defense, but of course beware, you can toast yourself with your own grenades, so remember where you are tossing those blasts at. Send the move timer on the grenade from 0 (Immiediate explosion on your square) to 5 (5 square travel before kaboom!) squares. The 5 square distance does not follow the normal attack rules (So say hello to diagonal grenade attacks, but the wrap around rule still applies)
Defense: Using this command will protect you from weapon attacks and inflict damage upon your foe (Player a attacks b who defends, player a gets hurt). Blocking multiple foes will hurt EACH enemy once. (Player a and b attack c who defends, A and B lose a life) Defending when nobody goes for your neck means your health is going to get drained. (Player a defends without attacks and he loses a life). Grenades can not be shielded at all, so get out of the way if possible.
Doing nothing: This is simple enough... you simply sit there... This leaves you VERY vulernable to attack as if multiple attackers get at you, you will be suffering ALL their wraths! (Player a gets attacked by B C and D, A loses THREE lives)
There will be eight fighters, so go get those opponents toasted while lookin out for you know who and CHOOSE YOUR WEAPON!
