That's a blatant lie, as anyone who searches your posting history will see. You always claim a power role when you're scum, just like this time. You've pretty much given the game to town anyway, so thanks for that - I just hope on a personal level people work out that logically, I must be the real cop, because otherwise I suck very badly at this game. Which may be true...

Ok Rictus.

If you aren't cop and we go your way then we lose 2 pro-town. We lynch you of course but then after that we have lost 3 townies and if the other mafia is any good he will manage to lynch a townie so town loses and mafia win.
I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.

Borox, you're now going to be my investigation target for tonight if I survive the lynch, because you're coming off every scummy here indeed. Jake I think I just pissed off by being abrasive, but you have no reason to lynch me - in fact, you're own logic above betrays you - because if I'm the cop I claim to be, then you've lost 2 town by sunup and you've only got one credible target - well, OK, you've got two - you and NES.

So let's up the ante - if your lynch vote stays on me, you're scared of being investigated, and then we've got our two scum. If you have nothing to hide, I'll prove your innocence tonight, and we can find scum no. 2 together.

Going to bed now - if I wake up with a stretched neck town - it's NES 1st and borox 2nd for my money, so Doc, protect someone that isn't either of them and you should be OK... Of course, if I'm not lynched, you'll know for sure about both of them by tomorrow...

Unvote vote Rictus

I haven't exactly read the last page, but what makes you so sure rictus that NES is scum. The only two ways in which you could know his role are either you being a day cop, or his mafia buddy, and I highly doubt it is the first in a Newbie mafia.

Yes, but just because you are cop doesn't mean you shoudl know who is scum. Unless your a day cop, which as I have already said is highly unlikely in a newbie mafia, you cannot know who is or isn't scum, because as a normal cop, you can only investigate somebody at NIGHT. it is now DAY. We have had no NIGHTS. So therefore you cannot have investigated NES and got a scum result. And don't even get me started on sanity.......

NES CLAIMED COP. I'M THE COP. Therefore, NES is lying. You think that means he's vanilla townie?!?! Or that in a 7 player games there's two cops???? OR could it just possibly be that you skim too much to be allowed to play this game? It's that or you're the second scum - there's no other explanation. The ONLY reason for NES to claim cop when he isn’t is to avoid being lynched as scum – so I’m 90% certain that’s what he is (he could be a vanilla townie, but that would make his play even worse, because you’re all going to lynch him tomorrow now anyway).

Whether you were the hammer or hardly matters - you killed the cop by incredibly poor play, either skimming, or just plain not grasping how the game works. Either way, sucks to be you.

Just because you said so, it doesn't mean NES is lying. On Day 1 its very hard to claim. Vanilla townie is the obvious claim because you have nothing to back up a claim of cop, but vanilla townie is a bad claim, because the town won't be too bothered to kill one, just to see if the claim is true. So day one is always a hard day to claim on. And if you are cop, I couldn't care less, because its good to get you out of the game, and I'm sure the rest of the players will back me up in this.

Oh, and for your information, I'm not a newbie, in fact I've played more mafia games than you have pubic hairs.

Well, if NES doesn't die for false claiming, you're showing that your dislike for me is more important to you than winning, or even really playing, the game.

Or that you're scum 2, of course, and using your oodles of experience to weave an oh-so-clever web to deceive these poor n00bs.

No.

I am using my experience in once case though. If you do turn out to be a cop, the town will not go on and lynch me, NES and whoever else you have accused, just because you were telling the truth on one account. I admit it doesn't look good for NES, but there are so many things that you do not know. You do not know you sanity, meaning if kept alive after your claim you could have been more of a burden than a tool. Also, your going all out against NES, on, correct me if I'm wrong, a suspicion. The town are not going to risk losing another member, just on a day 1 suspicion. It just deosn't happen.

How will the town not lynch NES? How can you possibly justify that? You think in a 7 player n00b mafia game there’ll be sanity to worry about? Nah.

NES claimed cop, I claimed cop. I’m' dead, and I am the cop. SO NES lied about being the cop - his only reason to do that is if he's scum. This is basic, game theory logic, and the only 2 possible reasons you can't see this are 1) you don't like me ( fair enough - I've been ill and therefore abrasive, but I have to confess, also astonished that town has lynched it's cop on day one). or 2) You're scum and this is desperate obviscation.

Time will tell. But NES is scum, and no lynch of him tomorrow is just crazy talk.

I see what you mean, NES has got himself in a tight spot, but you can't assume that the town will act upon it, there is where you are going wrong.

And when you know NES's playing style as much as I do, role claims have always been where he's fallen down, even when he's telling the truth, he's never been able to properly justify it

But that was part of my point - one big tell of his his to always claim a power role when he's scum. In a game this small, it's particularly bad as an idea, because what just happened will always happen - the real power role will claim, and he'll get lynched (either that day or the day after). Given you know this, I'm doubly surprised you chose to vote for me - guess that'll be the abrasive thing again on my part (Or, you're scum ,of course ;) ).

I still don't see how the town doesn't lynch him tomorow, unless they're suicidal. Or just to spite me, possibly...

OK, fine I agree.

But can you see where I am coming from, I'm trying to help you, you seem to think that what the town will do come the next day is a given, but that is not true, I've seen the town do some veeery odd things in my time, and that doesn't mean it wont happen tomorrow. Night kills can have more of an influence than you might think.

Well, I'm assuming the town understands the game, but given this is a n00b game, and they’ve just, in my view totally illogically, lynched the cop, maybe I'm giving them too much credit. They'll probably lynch their Doc tomorrow, who will protect NES tonight.

The only big thing I can see busting things open is if NES gets NK'd and is a townie - that would make things genuinely interesting. - but I'll bet you a gumdrop it doesn’t happen... :D
