two types of ? rank ie freemium and premium [Done]

Post by rebelman »

* Suggestion Idea:

To be able to distinguish between premium and non premium new members

* Specifics:

Like every other rank have a gold and silver option depending on whether or not they are premium

* Why it is needed:

If a ? has paid $20 to play it shows a level of commitment and they are a lot less likely to deadbeat and players would possibly stop dropping games when ? join, if they realise that ? is a premium member.

I believe it is the mising link in our current rankings chart and its creation would have several other benefits including deciding whether to allow them enter clans, tournaments etc.

i kind of remember this being suggested before.

I dunno why it was rejected or whatnot but this seems like something that wouldn't take much effort to implement. Then again, it just takes 5 games to lose that ?

I don't think there have ever been any premium ? members. Most people don't decide to shill out $20 until after at least ten games.

Not that I'm against the idea, but it just seems kind of useless.

I did... I had joined four games, none were completed, and I was jonesing for another game, so I paid for it. :wink:

Why not doing the classic silver and gold? Why are they red?

Because the silver and gold is new, not classic. The red, on the other hand, is.

I don't think this is a very big concern because the person will stop being a "?" after a few days if they upgrade to premium. It might have made sense to back gold and silver question marks when we updated the ranks, but I definitely don't think its necessary.

Gold/Silver would suck. We already have a red question mark. Why not just make non-premium blue? Then we keep the silver/blue gold/red theme.

go CC. Personally, I've played against a few new recruits with premium membership when they are in more than 4 concurrent active games.
