i don't find it offensive either because me and my family have little or no influence from what hitler did, i didn't lose anybody dear i haven't suffered from his actions, etc. however i bet there are people that have lost a close person due to his actions.
if his nick name was Ceausescu i would be offended and i think it's the same situation as above.
