When the server crashes in the middle of your turn, the timer should be reset to the time you had when the server crashed.
In game 61212 a freestyle game my partner (my sife) and I were both playing when the server crashed. I had already attacked and conquered a country and was in the middle of fortifications. My partner was starting her her attacks when the server crashed. We both timed out. I was not credited with a card and she was not able to attack to get a card.
I don't know how long the server was down but I tried for about a half an hour to get back on. We had other things we needed to do so we could not stay around and wait for the server to get back online.
