i don't think so...only way is to get copyright permission to use the names and some of the designs etc. That could be an issue for this site, as this site is classed as a "commercial" site. I guess there would be copyright fees to be paid. I am not sure what your laws are in the USA.bryguy wrote:there is a way around the copyright, if u make a starwars map completely from scratch

More importantly, what are the laws in canada?cairnswk wrote:i don't think so...only way is to get copyright permission to use the names and some of the designs etc. That could be an issue for this site, as this site is classed as a "commercial" site. I agree that this is no more than a dicsussion of maps that can never be made. But if you lock it then people will keep creating new threads, so we may as well leave it open for anybody who finds it necessary to dream of a SW map.Aerial Attack wrote:n point of fact, it should be deleted/trimmed, leaving behind only the first post (complete with quote of the copyright statement). Then it could be locked and renamed: "ALL Star Wars/Star Trek maps will be REJECTED due to Copyright Issues"

there is no way to go AROUND the copyright, so why not go through it? why not just ask them for permission?oaktown wrote:I agree that this is no more than a dicsussion of maps that can never be made.
