maybe have betting on tournament games of some sort. possibly with the winner getting points or some sort, and whoever gets the most in a month getting to go premium?

Gambling on tournaments is never going to happen. Prizes for winning tournaments is possible if the tournament organizer wishes to spring for the premium, but other than that, no money/points betting.
