You see, this is exactly the kind of threatened behavior that is detrimental to a community. You are stuck on a first impression based on certain posters' antics and are completely unwilling to change your opinion based on that one impression.Anarkistsdream wrote:I seriously doubt that you and all your lame friends will be welcomed here after your introduction...
At the moment, I am trying to get you all banned.
Thank You.
When entering a "community" you don't start off by saying that everyone who doesn't know what a certain thing is, is excluded.JDodge wrote:Sigh...
It's sad that it has come to this; a mere introduction being a gateway to a hell of persecution just for being friends with each other.

How is that skewed?Glork wrote:You see, this is exactly the kind of threatened behavior that is detrimental to a community. Suppose we had come in, introduced ourselves in a more civil manner, were here for a couple of months with no problems whatsoever, and then Quagun made that ridiculous thread as a joke, after you had gotten to know us a little bit. I can almost guarantee that you would not be seeking to get us banned based on that one offense. I suppose this is why you are a poster and not a forum moderator. Your sense of justice is completely skewed.

What fact? I'm talking about the group of acc's that are in question on the level of multi, who are/is the same people/person who posted the locked thread.JDodge wrote:When did I ever say anything of the sort?Strife wrote:When entering a "community" you don't start off by saying that everyone who doesn't know what a certain thing is, is excluded.JDodge wrote:Sigh...

I even embraced the fact when it was made known.

Maybe you should not have entered with 5 multi's and/or "friends" and start well like strife said....exclude everyone else. Ah, another gullible nitwit fooled by our cunning experiment. At this rate we'll get the whole forum posting.soundout9 wrote:Maybe you should not have entered with 5 multi's and/or "friends" and start well like strife said....exclude everyone else. With all due respect, we know that when entering a community with any intent to stick around for a lengthy duration, the goal is to be included.Strife wrote:When entering a "community" you don't start off by saying that everyone who doesn't know what a certain thing is, is excluded.JDodge wrote:Sigh...

I don't believe I would. I've made wonderful and horrible first impressions, and I've had others make both on me. If there is one thing I've learned in my life, it's that first impressions are the most misleading, useless impressions possible. They automatically come with a "label" that is often unwarranted, because extended behavior in the long run is what's really important -- whether it's "oh, he's been here forever, we can forgive him this one time" or "oh, he screwed up -- live and learn, I suppose."Anarkist wrote:You obviously understand why I feel that way, and I guarantee you would feel the same were it you.

You didn't think that the highlighted parts would be enough to provoke a post, just to spite the author? And you claim it was a social experiment, you truly amaze me... Anyway, the following posts weren't any better, caps lock is a practically failsafe way of getting yourself flamed. Add random quotes from other threads, abuse of smilies and more "get the f*ck out of here and leave us alone"-posts, then the fact that 7 of the posters joined on the same day, now really, anyone could have told you what would happen. And here you are, acting all disappointed, well, kid, you had it coming. And I feel there's more of the same headed your way, this is not a threat btw, it's a prediction.quagunsan wrote:We're placing "Other forum" in the headline because we don't want any of the idiots from this forum coming to ours.
If you don't know what this thread is about, don't post. Anyone who does will get slaughtered.
Discuss.

It seems obvious to me that the "elitist" attitude with which we introduced ourselves was probably a mistake. As I indicated earlier, the intent was to be so ridiculous, you'd get the impression "okay, all of these guys know each other, but they're just a little insane." Clearly, that didn't go over well. At all.[/qoute] When it comes to multi's I'm like the mod's I give people the benefit of the doubt, sometimes to people it seems unreasonable, which it it. You have seemingly all played several games with each other, and I have done the same with some of my friends. So, I have no problem of you all being multi's really.(BOD) But, If you want a warm welcome offer a warm arival. - If you knwo what I mean bout the last part. You don't run in here trigger happy and saying that "nobody can talk here but us, GFY guys you suck." If you wanted someplace where all you can post you go to the help tab and fill out an e-ticket.Glork wrote:With all due respect, we know that when entering a community with any intent to stick around for a lengthy duration, the goal is to be included.Strife wrote:When entering a "community" you don't start off by saying that everyone who doesn't know what a certain thing is, is excluded.JDodge wrote:Sigh...

I am perfectly content to offer my apologies; however, I feel that we are also owed an apology by the people who initially greeted us, and then accused us of being alts; and then when we tried to defend ourselves against the accusations, just simply decided that it would be best to ignore our arguments and attack us.Anarkistsdream wrote:Frankly, you have no claim to come in this thread and tell me whether or not I am accepting of you or anyone else.

I saw the mafia thread in the games forum.
You are the ones who jumped up and down like children with bad attitudes... Hence, I assume the oldest one of you is around 14.
That's okay... When I was a child, I did stupid things too... But you and your 'crew' need to apologize and then try to work with the rest of the community, not expect us to just accept you.

You have to understand that this forum sees a lot of action from "multis." The way you introduced yourself was suspicious, to say the least. You weren't very smart to enter the way you did, and you weren't welcomed because of it. This is a great community, one that I think you would want to be a part of. However, why not just sit back and view it for a bit, then make your entrance? That may have worked out better.Glork wrote:With all due respect, we know that when entering a community with any intent to stick around for a lengthy duration, the goal is to be included.Strife wrote:When entering a "community" you don't start off by saying that everyone who doesn't know what a certain thing is, is excluded.JDodge wrote:Sigh...

I do understand why you feel the way you do, and I don't fault you for that attitude at all. The entire point of this thread is that I don't want a terrible mistake to scar our presence here. That won't help anybody.
If you are unwilling to keep an open mind whatsoever, I'd be perfectly happy to exist on this forum without associating with you. I'm perfectly capable of being mature about you not liking us, and I would hope that you are, too.
I don't. You all just came here to spam. Make a clan that way you can spam in there with out the rest of us having to see it.JDodge wrote:I am perfectly content to offer my apologies; however, I feel that we are also owed an apology by the people who initially greeted us, and then accused us of being alts; and then when we tried to defend ourselves against the accusations, just simply decided that it would be best to ignore our arguments and attack us.Anarkistsdream wrote:Frankly, you have no claim to come in this thread and tell me whether or not I am accepting of you or anyone else.
