This could be nothing...

Post by Emily_W »

Hi - I'm not happy posting this, but I guess this is how things are done.

I have a niggling feeling that 'two' people I have just played doubles with are in fact the same person - or they're just good at playing at the exact same time - which I know is possible! The two in question, in my opinion, are Kennocha and Themistocles. In the game in question, 59803, they both played at the exact same time, every time - easily done with two windows open... I've had a look at other games they are both in, and the same is true of most - though not all.

Deepest apologies if there is no multi here - it was just very very suspicious!!

niggling is a good use of a word here.

Kudos on the self-effacing post as well. Would you by chance be Japanese?

I have a niggling feeling that only an Englisher could use the word niggling.

Oi, stop Brit-bashing!! I just didn't want to appear to be accusing someone of cheating if they're not cheating!! :?

Well, seeing as you're female as well as a Brit, I'll give you a pass on this one. Try to be more inflammatory and accusational next time, please.

Its a team game and its freestyle. Teams work together and timing is good teamwork. They could be two friends communicating by phone, voice chat or private message. They could be brother/sister or husband and wife playing on two computers from the same house.

If playing at the same time is the only reason to accuse someone then don't play against my wife and I in a doubles freestyle game because we both make sure we are in the game at the same time if it is to our advantage.

I have played 2 doubles games vs. them, but they were sequential. Not much value in 1 person playing 2 players in sequential, so I asuume just good friends.

Pins and me are indeed husband and wife - but only work together in team games, which for those who have played us, know full well (not that I think you're accusing us of otherwise!!) :)

If you guys think the two I mentioned are cool, then I'm cool with that - I was only suspicious as I asked them about it and never replied - but it could be they're just not as talkative as me!!

Emily if you want this looked at, you'll need to use the form found as a sticky at the top of the Cheating Forum.

Thanks Wicked, but I think maybe I was just jumping to the wrong conclusion - maybe I was just bitter as I lost... but I should be used to that by now!
