The mountains are there to create plausible continents and restrict attack routes.

tried new mountains they still suck.

I hate the gameplay of this map. You can hold either half with a single territory. Not good.

Same here. I think adding 1 (2 tops) more sea route should fix the problem.

Ok, I'll admit it wasn't hard at all. It was refreshing having something to do besides fail at making good mountains.

1st one doesnt look too good, but i like the other two, but try making a darker outline and darker shading to see if that improves it.
