take that back, I want one of the swords from 300, or the spear King Leonidas throws.

I hear that, but, that is where bayonets come in. Or 19th century sabres. :D

As I said, guns are cowardly weapons designed only to make you look cool while killing from a distance.

If you really want to see a person's strength and spirit, put them in a sword fight.
Any old idiot can win a gun fight.
But it takes a skillful person with heart to win a sword duel.

Actually, I have an ancient sabre from China. I think it is dated from the 5th century B.C. :? Also sabres before swords. I know how to use those from Shaolin. ;)

swords and knives aren't that similar.

Swords without a doubt. I could list all my reasons but I don't want to go into a long rant.

Anyway, my choice was knife, I'm a big collector of knives and I always have one on me, they're effective tools and they let someone know you mean business.

And swords wouldn't? Honestly if you didn't have a gun on you (or anything else that can kill long range) and you see a guy with a sword, would you really want to go mess with him?

You realize that a short sword could be reffered to as a dagger?

If someone had a gun and I had say handwraps, well, you don't bring a gun to a Strife fight. ;)

Yes, I know. It's just that you can hold daggers backhand, while swords and most short swords you usually don't

Guns for show, knives for pro.

But I would take a staff, I prefer the non-lethal aproach, which is harder to achieve with an edged weapon. Plus the range is better, unless I was inside were some form of baton or tonfu would be better.
