No offense static those are all good choices (though a little surprised by a couple of them.)

If I had to pick, I would go with The Wall album as a whole.

I could list all of my favorites but it would be a long list featuring songs mainly from before Roger left.

Up until recently, Wish You Were Here was my favorite but i've heard it a lot in the last month and am getting tired of it.

I picked uhh based on the general hits/my personal favorites from the more popular albums (I know I missed Comfortably Numb but it was either that or the last choice...)

Tough choice but I went with Shine On. Probably would be closely followed by Time, Welcome to the Machine and Hey You.

Seriously though, most of my favorites come from The Wall.

Have A Cigar (from Wish You Were Here) is also a personal favorite of mine.

Pink Floyd is such a consistently good band I can't narrow it down to just one though.

Another Brick in the Wall has never been my favorite song by them, not even in my top ten really.

As far as "In The Flesh," I like the second version of it better as a whole, but my favorite lyric out of the two comes from the first one. "...Claw your way through this disquise." that has to be really freaky when they start off a concert with that song (which I'm sure they have.)

One of my favorites as well. I love the lyrics. A little bit of a different pace from most of the other songs I've heard from them but also one of my favorites.

true. Also, if you're listening to their albums as a whole you see how many of the songs are designed to flow into each other as a sequence (especially in The Wall), like "Have A Cigar". It flows perfectly into "Wish You Were Here".

As far as "Welcome to the Machine" is concerned i've always like the song but for some reason it's always seemed to be the odd ball off of the Wish You Were Here album, at least in my opinion.[/i]

right now I would have to go with Welcome to the machine. However my favorite changes depending on how im feeling. I like money and Wish you were here as well.

Also why does everyone harsh on Gilmore. True he doesn't have the writing abilitys of Waters (the wall was put together real nice), but I think he sounds just as good. He did most of the lead vocals on Dark side and wish you were here, and the pulse album sounds pretty good.

meh, Laspe of Reason is ok, not bad. Division Smell is the real bad one.

I like AMLOR's cover, if nothing else. And Dogs of War, Learning to Fly and On the Turning Away are all also good songs, imo.

QFT against Waters. As far as Gilmore's concerned. He was never really meant to be a great song writer, end of story.

I havent heard gilmores solo album so I cant really say if i agree with you static. I may have to give it a listen.
Your right wolf gilmore was never meant to be a great writer, but he wasnt to bad either. Up until animals he did write some of the bands material, as did Wright. But he definatly wasnt as good as waters.
I think it was waters' move in taking over the band and all the writeing that eventually lead to their breakup. Unfortunate really. Anyway i still stand by my suggestion that gilmore is the better vocalist.

A darn good singer.
And wrote the music for: Time, Comfortably Numb, Wish You Were Here (the song), Dogs
as well as quite a bit of Shine You Crazy Diamond.
So not a bad songwriter...

I have a soft spot for the Division Bell album because I got to see 'em perform live on the Division Bell tour. It was hands-down the best concert I've ever been to.

But I gotta say that The Wall (the whole thing, not just individual songs) will forever be my Floydian favorite. Run Like Hell, Comfortably Numb, The Trial, Mother, and Goodbye Blue Skies deserve some props though.

The whole album is classic. There's so much to it, it's crazy. People spend years studying all the little details; best concept album of all time, the only close competition it has is Dark side of the moon

Your right wolf gilmore was never meant to be a great writer, but he wasnt to bad either. Up until animals..

He had a voice in The Wall. Helped Waters with some of the better songs on that album.
