special characters

Ok in my sig i have two special characters and they were there yesterday. Now they appear as a diamond with a ? in it. i don't know if it is the browser or if lack has changed anything with fonts (why he would idk). Can someone check?

This has also happened with 2 of the foreign forums. I wonder if lack is starting to implement some of phpBB3.......
