I see, so now Glenn Beck gets to define religion in the US?Phatscotty wrote:Liberation theology is the Church Obama sat in for 20 years. Also, I can't vote. I think he's a shape-shifting lizard-man.
Luciferian, simple. A lot of people have called him the anti-christ...
If Obama is going to ask 50 million people to vote for him, he probably should give them a basic introduction about who he is and what he believes...obviously, he did not do that. Seems like a lot of people take Obama on faith...natty_dread wrote:Why does it matter what (if any) religion he is?
ps. no option for Discordian?
How would you handle it? It's a ridiculous fucking question - first the guy gets pilloried for his christian pastor's views, now he's pilloried for not denying he's a muslim? Politics aside, this is crazy. You may as well accuse someone of being a satanic paedophile and then attack them for not denying it. Surely the most mature response from anyone would be to ignore it? Why get involved? Why waste your time responding to utterly spurious rumours? The only reason it has any traction at all is because it's been discussed so much. Still no basis in fact, is there?Phatscotty wrote:If Obama is going to ask 50 million people to vote for him, he probably should give them a basic introduction about who he is and what he believes...obviously, he did not do that. Does it matter if he lied about his religion? In a way, it does not matter what religion he is. But it does matter how he handles the issue, does it not?
BTW this is a serious debate on Obamas character. Not so sure you want to leave it with "well, that doesnt really matter anyways" Surely, the smartest president in our history should be able to handle it a bit better than this, whatever his beliefs are/aren't.

No, his observance of Christianity is pretty plain to anybody who pays attention. As to his personnal beliefs, no one one Earth, including you can prove that. We are not a society of mind-readers.Phatscotty wrote:his religion is sealed too...

But we can observe actions.....in the search for what religion Obama is, here are some observations
It's been 18 months:
1. Obama has picked out a dog, but not a church
2. Obama does not pray in public...he says "he prays alone in Air Force 1"????
3. He has loudly proclaimed "America is not a Christian country"
4. He kept his Muslim name, even though he quit Islam (very interesting...)
5. He pronounces "Pakistan" 2 different ways, showing that he is trying/not trying to say it how everyone else says it (hiding something)
6. The "Christian" church he did attend for 20 years is a place of Yelling Hatred and giving lifetime achievement awards to louis farakhan
7. His christianity is so obvious, he says that if he meets Jesus... "I would ask, uh, um, if I was going UP or DOWN" (wtf? lol!!)
8. he says "The muslim call to prayer is one of the prettiest sound on earth at sunset"

So... what underlying motives would, for example, a pentecostal christan have?Phatscotty wrote:BBS is taking words out of my mouth tonight. exactly, and if I might add, what decisions he may make in the future...BigBallinStalin wrote:It's important to know what religion he hails from because it gives us a better understanding of his underlying motives. #1 motive, lie about their pentacostal christianity and pretend to be more mainstream.MeDeFe wrote:So... what underlying motives would, for example, a pentecostal christan have?Phatscotty wrote:BBS is taking words out of my mouth tonight. exactly, and if I might add, what decisions he may make in the future...BigBallinStalin wrote:It's important to know what religion he hails from because it gives us a better understanding of his underlying motives. no. I voted liberation.heavycola wrote:so, scotty, do you believe he is a Muslim? straight up, yes or no.

I guess. I had no intention of putting luciferian on there at first, but after putting up liberation I thought of it(the L?). Also, and mainly, other posters in the "pre-thread" about the obama muslim thing were saying he was the anti-christnotyou2 wrote:You have liberation listed beside Luciferian. I am not familiar with Luciferien but I assume it is the worship of lucifer.
Is there a purpose for you placing Libertarian beside Luciferian?
what's wrong with liberation theology?Phatscotty wrote:no. I voted liberation.heavycola wrote:so, scotty, do you believe he is a Muslim? straight up, yes or no.

It is only one option of many. Why do you imply there is something wrong with Black liberation theology?heavycola wrote:what's wrong with liberation theology?Phatscotty wrote:no. I voted liberation.heavycola wrote:so, scotty, do you believe he is a Muslim? straight up, yes or no.
I wasn't implying anything - your attitude suggests suspicion of obama's faith, and you ticked liberation instead of christian. I'll rephrase: why did you tick liberation instead of christian?Phatscotty wrote:It is only one option of many. I chose it because it is the right answer. Liberation theology is too radical to be welcomed into the mainstream. I think the Pope even rejected it flat out. Not saying that's what I believe, just observing how the christian authority has handled it.heavycola wrote:I wasn't implying anything - your attitude suggests suspicion of obama's faith, and you ticked liberation instead of christian. NB liberation theology didn't start with the civil rights movement - if i remember it began as a xian aproach to poverty in south american slums. Could be wrong - will find out.
Sometimes in it's pure form it's direct worship of Lucifer. More often it take a form of either denial that Lucifer changed to Satan after being cast from heaven, that there is no Satan and Lucifer or claim that they are two seperate beings.notyou2 wrote:You have liberation listed beside Luciferian. dude, that's the dumbest video yet. Unless it was a joke, in which case - my bad for sense of humour failure.

it's a bunch of footage of Obama....call it whatever you want. But, after viewing it, can you see where some people less intelligent than yourself might say "why does Obama talk about Islam so much?" That's all.heavycola wrote:dude, that's the dumbest video yet. Unless it was a joke, in which case - my bad for sense of humour failure.
