I'll be honest with you though, I suspect a great deal of the 'comedy gold' in here is in-jokes, and stuff that was hilarious in the context of the forum climate at the time of writing. That's probably why it's leaving you a little cold (perhaps a little bit like how old Stache-threads leave me).
