According to the racial policeman on site, the great and mighty Owenshooter, gorillaz is a racist term, so me thinks monkey could be as well. QED Monkey business must be a race specific action, so not an inclusive enough title for a forum. Eagerly awaiting comments, and smack downs from the PC heroes on site.

I'm not attempting to flame anyone, and I was aware that Owen was on a forum vacation when I posted this. Please read the game chat and see whether I just have a warped sense of humor, or whether there was a wee bit of an over reaction. Please remember this is not about Owen or me. I myself am mortally offending by their labeling our nonsensical discussions as mere "monkey business." Not only does this insult our already low-levels of intelligence, but it also degrades monkeys as well.

And "Turtle Soup" won't suffice since that's advocating specie cleansing in order to just enjoy the bountiful pleasures of indulging oneself in a healthy thick soup of turtle bits and pieces.

I'm appalled, offended, disgusted, and overall upset. I'm gonna drown my tears in scotch due to this latest scandal of theirs.

Wait, Gorillaz is racist? That's news to me. Del the Funkee Homosapien was on their first record, and I've never had the impression the guy from Blur is a racist.

What was the context in which that word was used? Was someone talking about the band and it was taken the wrong way? Or were they trying to mask a racist put down somehow?

(cause they're a completely awesome band and definitely multi-continental in terms of make up -- there's even an Asian member, I think -- when I saw them live awhile back, great show, btw, they all played in silhouette, cause they're all into the anonymity of the band thing. So hip, so cool. They're like anti-celebrities, I love it. And that's waaay more rock and roll than any other act EVER.)

The context was a spanking monkeys game against the mighty Owenshooter and friends, Owen threatened to open an e-ticket, as the spanking monkeys sometimes refer to each other as gorillas. I laughed so hard I almost pissed my pants, sorry will hunt down the game number later

Yes, that involved people making monkey noises, prancing around, generally "aping" what they though of him. Not cool and definatly racist+++

In the CC game in question, have included game link in my original post now, in no way was Owenshooter been called a monkey. I thought it was funny to see such massive over reaction to a perceived slur that a) wasn't a slur b) wasn't directed at him.

As I said earlier didn't realize that Owen was on a forum vacation otherwise I wouldn't have started this thread, was surprised he hadn't posted, then I was informed of his ban. Kind of miss his witty banter.

Don't understand the melon reference, is Tyrone a man or womans name? Sorry must be a american thing? What do watermellons have to do with monkeys, monkey business etc. Read the game link... mate
