Would it be possible to keep track of the speed that users take turns? I think this would be a great stat to list on a userpage. I know a site called GameTZ can track how long it takes users to respond to new offers so it must be possible.

Yeah, either just let game creators have complete control -or- have a few options 1hr, 3hrs, 6hrs, 12hrs, and 24hrs. The only downside I see is when it is first started people might join games not knowing how long they have, but I think most users are smart enough to figure it out.
If there is a 1 hour time limit, odds are someone is going to go to sleep and deadbeat.
If there is a 3 hour time limit, odds are someone is going to go to work and deadbeat.
If there is a 6 hour time limit, odds are people will go to sleep/work and miss lots of turns because of it.
Same with 12 hours...
I just don't think this is a good idea. Everyone goes to sleep, and has things to do beside CC. Having time limits of even 12 hours would require you to check your turns 3 times a day so that you do not miss turns. Not to mention 3 or 1 hour time limits...
If you have premium membership, you have the option of playing unlimited games (you can join enough so that the turns never end), or speed games (5 minute time limit).
I do think that putting an "Average Time to Take Turns" stat would be helpful (having a separate stat for speed and casual). Imagine playing with someone and being able to guesstimate how often he's going to take his turns!
Been suggested before and rejected... if I remember correctly it's because you have 24 hours to take a turn in casual, so it doesn't matter how long they take to make their move instead it does matter how frequently they'll miss (hence the turn missed %)
