Ant-Lovin v1.2

Post by army of nobunaga »

--------------------
Each player starts off on bachelor ant. This ant and the first 2 spaces is his "Pad". The first two spaces reset to neutral each turn.
The queen is a one way attack to the Bachelor ant! The top part is the park. It will be open like Supermax prison map's "yard".

Autowin
---------
1 food supply-these are outside (at the top)
2 egg cache
1 bachelors
1 queen

Bonus
--------
Food +5 auto deploy
Queen +8 auto deploy
Bachelors +7 auto deploy
Eggs +5 auto deploy
+1 for every 2 territorys held

First two Bachelor Territorys reset to their neutrals every round

Hold the Bird and the Poison for one round and quess resets to neutral

Intriguing. You think you could get a computer-ized draft up? I mean, can you post a draft that was made in a computer program? This would likely make things more clear than the current draft you have going ;) I think this map has potential, though I must say the ant theme is rather odd.

yeah, sadly though it took 2 hours to do this. so before I ink it then scan it and start photoshop on it just wanted to see what ppl thought.

The theme came from a desire for --tunnels, an early gauntlet of neutrals, big risk/reward for leaving the home early.
So Ants were decided. I think I can do a fun love/sex theme with it too. I dunno. Thanx for the comments.

I think ants are sexy enough.

This is a pretty compelling idea. I say go for it.

I seriously was working on an ant war map between red ants and black ants (never posted it, and barley got started). BUT it looked kinda like what you have going on here, the queen ant was in the bottom middle as you have there as well... good idea i think, think of taking on the theme of a war between 2 sides might be cool as well.

This actually brings back some long-ago childhood happy memories of a game called Hungry Ant. Wonderfully made game... players constructed tunnels from randomly drawn tiles to try to get to 'goodies' from a picnic (soda, pickles, cake, etc.)

Anyway, some of the tiles were negative effects that you could put on your opposing players' tunnels, and these I think could spice up the map if you so desired. If I recall, they were:
  • A Cave-In
    The Spider
    Preying Mantis
    Big Uncle's insecticide
I think this could be a really cute and funny map, with some good strategic options as you mentioned before- a nice all-around map.

Best of luck,

Marshal Ney

lol, i remember both of those but i swear to you that those memories came just now :-) the "Ant-Boy idea came basically only because I knew i wanted blind crossroads, bases and tunnels with a starting "gauntlet" of neutrals. Thanx for the advice, I think I will add the spider. and insecticide :-).

Ill have the next version ready and updated on sunday night. Tonight is well tequila, tomorrow a wedding .. but luckily I worked my ass off last two days on it. Hope you guys are impressed.

Ah, paint.net is not an online graphics editor... I also use paint.net.

You'll want to install lots of plugins for it to be able to do useful stuff though.

lol dude, i totally needed you to draw the webpage stuff :S =D .... did you see how it turned out :-) ?

and im going through with it, im using it as a reason to teach myself a graphics program... I realized how dumb it is for me to be so handy on a pc in most things but know next to nothing about this stuff.

its amateurish, but Im proud of it because it is 90% all done by me, code-graphics-admin setup http://www.unleashedsaga.com lol thought i ws offering to pay you pretty good too

Yeah but that was with like a two day time limit, this is the foundry so you'll have like a 3 year time limit.

Edit
-----------
no problem.

p.s. for 20 bucks I'd still do those graphics on your webiste ;)

that ant farm is an epic idea man. I think there would be room enough for two tunnel like maps.. Mine is turning out to be pretty cartoonish...
