This is true on a number of maps with large numbers of territories. There just isn't enough room within the limited length of a single chat line to encode all the information needed for a snapshot.
If the map has over 110 territories, you won't probably be able to make a snapshot. I guess clandemonium falls into that category.
Still hesitant to make it multiple lines, hive would need 3 to 4 lines in chat (which would not be nice for teammates without BOB), and it gets quite tricky to send them at the right time.
The issue of bothering your teammates is something that would have to be worked out on a personal basis.
When a script is accessing the chat lines, does it have any index or count which identify individual lines? If later lines in a multi-line chat snapshot could refer to prior ones and/or the first one, it might be easier to reassemble the snapshot accurately. This would also avoid problems which could arise if two players tried to take snapshots at the same time.
