This. 100% this.pimpdave wrote:I've never played an mmorpg, but I'm seriously considering picking up The Old Republic, if it's possible to still have fun in PvP without constant grinding (like in WoW) and my current computer (a year old now) can run it.

I played ogame for 3-4 years, then finally quit. The universe I was in was down to about 500-800 people, my alliance had basically moved on to other games, and when I finally lost my moon and fleet for a second time, I just gave up. I've though about going back, but it sucks up so much time if you want to play it right.Streaker wrote:Ogame. Plays very slow, but after a few months and some experience it's addicting.
It's a time consumer though

I played 2 years. First universe 6 months learning the ropes, then finally rocketed up the ranks and became part of a strong alliance. After some nice crashes and timings, I went to mining. I enjoyed it very much, but after a while you have seen it all.maasman wrote:I played ogame for 3-4 years, then finally quit. I looked at that, but it didn't look fun to me (either that or too complex). I played Space Sonata (or Star Sonata?) but I quit because I couldn't figure out the controls, and nothing in-game helped me figure out the mission I was on, and the brain infusions looked too painful to watch, even though it was just a game. Dark orbit was boring and ad-ridden...Metsfanmax wrote:I've been playing EVE Online for a while.

yes, there are. There are even other risk-like games, much like CC but less community-oriented. Sites like War Gear, Major Command, Risk Attack, and others are other risk online games. Wargear.net has some really cool game features, but the site takes forever to load and it doesn't have the same community feel to it. I like CCInsomniaRed wrote:There are other online games?

I remember that game! It was red dragon btw. You could get the barmaid pregnant in it!
