So how did you guys do in your brackets today? I didn't fare so well, which isn't suprising since I just guessed a most of them about 30 minutes before the first game this morning. But I did manage to pick 11/16 today!

My work pool is doing things a bit differently, and awarding points based on the winner's seed and round, so it's better to pick low-ranked upsets... which I did with VCU!! Almost pulled out a couple more upsets, but damn those favorites for winning today!! grrr....

I did lose Duke though, who I had in the Sweet 16.

and I"m in third, but I was in last by alot so its an improvement.

I've got a good-news, bad-news situation going...

Basically, I got slaughtered today. I don't know the final tally, but I wouldn't be surprised if I only got 9 or 10 out of the 16.

But I only lost one sweet 16 team (took a flier on Old Dominion), and I didn't have them moving much onward.

It doesn't really matter, tho. I've already resigned myself to the fact that I'm either going to win (not terribly likely) or come in last (a bit more likely).

Hopefully tomorrow goes a bit better.

I picked VCU, but lost on BYU, Texas Tech and Oral Roberts (I really don't know what I was thinking there) but I didn't have any of those past the second round so it's still looking good! I do have to point out, in the interest of full disclosure, that I graduated from the University of North Texas and could not pass up my first chance in almost 20 years to pick them for a first round tourney win, so I've got that going against me :lol:

Finally, some good news! I'm a little depressed at Indiana's loss to UCLA. We came back from a huge deficit, and then some kid threw the ball away on the inbound pass...sigh.

I think I'm still on track to have 13-14 of my sweet 16 teams...

and I still haven't lost and elite 8 teams, which is good.

But the real good news of the day is that Georgetown beat BC....
