Welcome to the frigid land of the... South?! That's right! Welcome to Antarctica! In this tourney we will be fighting to see who is the most supreme, macho, burliest penguin of all. Is it you? Or is it that loser who beat you in the qualification round? The only way to find out is to get in on the battle for supremacy of the coldest region in the world. Don't let yourself get trapped alone in the cold, you'll regret leaving your cozy hideout behind.

SETTINGS
This tourney will consist of 18 players with the following settings:

Map: Antarctica
Fog: foggy
Reinforcements: unlimited
Spoils: escalating
Turn order: sequential
Round limit: none

FORMAT
The tourney will consist of 3 groups of 6 players; playing 5 standard games with the goal of scoring points. This can be done in only two ways:
Be the first to reach and conquer the South Pole: 1 point.
Win the game by eliminating all players: 3 points.
(If the winner is also the first to take the south pole he/she gets 4 points that game, once the fog has lifted game logs will be checked to see who took south pole, if the player would also be so kind to post in chat in their games that would make it easiest to locate.)
NEW RULE:
The person to take the south pole must post what round they took it in the chat. Otherwise it will NOT be checked. Thank you. -1 point for lying about who took it first.

After the points are tallied up for each group, the top two from each group remain in the running for the win! These elite six will then move on to play 5 more games of the same settings with the same scoring system to see who wins it all!

Signups will be seeded by random.org

IN CASE OF TIE:
In the group stage where a tie results, all players in the tie will play a standard game against one another to decide the winner; the winner from this game moves on. (If some odd form of tie comes up ie. 3 way, it will be another round of 5 games all sent out at the same time.)
Finalists:
In case of a tie at the end of the finals, the person with the highest score from the previous round (group stage) would win. If again there is a tie they would play a 1v1 on Antarctica with the same settings.

Harvmax has clinched his realm for sure, but there is a rebel located in there somewhere, a mysterious penguin known to many as "the fuzzy one" just might happen to be the second man in this group to proceed to the final six. He claims he has taken a valuable portion of land, but in the ruckus being kicked up in this frigid war zone, that is still to be decided. Only time will tell if he is the only player capable of rising to the occasion.

At the end of all the games, two players remain in the battle for supremacy, a 1 on 1 match has been sent to decide the official runner-up of group 1!

I believe at the end of a foggy game, the fog is lifted, and the game log will show you which territories were taken at what time.
