BACKSTORY;

the year is 2378. 132 years after the U.S. decided to install computer chips inside the skull of all newborns. after a computer glitch literally wiped out the whole UNITED STATES population, Canada and Mexico initiated talks to colonize the unclaimed territory. still bitter over the CANADA-MEXICO war of 2354, peace talks soon broke down, and war was imminent. this is where you come in.

SUMMARY;
MEXICO-CANADA WAR
this tournament will be mainly 1v1 games. however for each side, i will need 1 doubles team.
you'll need to pick a loyalty. mexico, or canada.
in the first part of the tourney, it's canada against mexico. i'd like to have 24 1v1 players,
each player will have 3 "lives".
all matchups will be random by my own method. ( i'll draw names out of a box )
each side will have 12 players to start. games will be on the USA map.
in each round you'll possibly play as many games as you have lives left. depending on who is all still eligible.
you may have 3 lives, but only able to play one game. players with one life will be the first to play.
when you're 3 lives are spent, you are out of the tournament.
once a side gains a lead determined by number of 1v1 players, the games shift to the retreating teams map.
EXAMPLE

• FIRST ROUND. MEXICO-12 CANADA-12 ALL GAMES WILL BE ON THE U.S.A. MAP
  SECOND ROUND. MEXICO-9 CANADA-11 ALL GAMES WILL BE ON THE MEXICO MAP

when all players from one country are dead, then the tourney moves on to civil war. more on this below
ADDITIONALLY;
EDIT; THE DOUBLES TEAMS [MEDICS] WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY ANY 1V1 GAMES IN THE MEXICO-CANADA WAR. WHEN ALL 12 1V1 PLAYERS ARE ELIMINATED, THE MEDICS ARE OUT AS WELL.
the doubles teams will act as medics. each set of games that go out the doubles teams will play one game against each other.
whatever team wins, gets to administer 2 treatments to the team once all games for that round have completed. this will also be random. starting with the players with the least amount of lives.
only 1 treatment can be administered to a certain player per game set. unless he is the last player
the doubles teams are immune to elimination. they will just try to help their country win the war by giving life, not taking it.

CIVIL WAR
once a country is victorious, celebrations are at hand, but soon tempers flare. all this land up for grab turns countrymen to greed. and eventually civil war breaks out.

SUMMARY;

this will be all 1v1 games. even the medics are now enemies.
the doubles team will be broke up, and added to the fray.
all of theses games will be 1v1 and will be played on the north america map. also these matchups will be drawn randomly
everyone's life resets to 3. additionally, there will be bonuses awarded to the heroes of the canada-mexico war.
BONUSES

• everyones initial life resets to 3
  medics earn 1 bonus life
  all players that eliminated an opponent in the canada-mexico war earn 1 bonus life
  each additional 2 eliminations earn you 1 more bonus life.

EXAMPLE;
eliminate 1 player from the canada-mexico war start the civil war with 4 lives
eliminate 2 players from the canada-mexico war start the civil war with 4 lives
eliminate 3 players from the canada-mexico war start the civil war with 5 lives

the last player alive wins the whole tournament and all of north america

EDIT: JAN 4 2012 deadbeating or failing to join the 1v1 games without reason counts as a loss. as it stands now, there is only one player that has not showed up. i'll send him one more invite, and wall him. if no awnser, he will be eliminated due to forfiet. i apolagize for not covering this earlier.

yes they are included. they will survive the first round, without chance of being eliminated. their wins will go towards keeping the other 12 players on that same team alive. there will be a total of 14 players on one team. the two doubles teams will not have a chance to play any 1v1 games in the first part of this tourney.

once one side eliminates the other side, the doubles teams will be broken up, and they will go into the pool of 1v1 games to be eliminated just like everyone else.
only 1 player has a chance to win in the end
