There will be 16 players to start off the tournament (I wont be among them, im gonna observe). Games will be held in 4 player singles for rounds 1-4, a game of 6 player doubles and 3 player singles for rounds 5 & 6 (each player will get a doubles game and a singles game), 4 player singles for rounds 7 & 8, a 6 player singles in rounds 9 (semifinals) and a 4 game singles in round 10 (finals).
All games will be auto deploy, sequential, escalating, sunny. Reinforcements styles will differ via stages. see stages for reinforcement rules.
I will be randomly placing players into games (as well as teams) by relying on random.org and the player number (order in which you signed up. if you signed up 3rd, you are player number 3)
I will be moving on by stages, so everyone may participate (including free players). you may need to have up to 4 spots if your stage 1 games take a long time though. Otherwise the most you will need is up to 2 game slots.
First come first serve basis for the 16 slots. Reserves will be placed on wait list if there are additional people interested based on a first come first serve basis as well.
The tournament games will be using at some point 13 maps all featuring some part of the USA. these maps are:
STAGES (with reinforcement type):
Historical USA (chained)
Dust Bowl (Rounds 1-4)
American Civil War (Rounds 1-4)
13 Colonies (Rounds 1-4)
Texan Wars (Rounds 1-4)
USA Scenic Tour (unlimited)
Rail USA (Rounds 5-6) probably using this one for the 6 player doubles due to extra territories
USA Rockies (Rounds 5-6)
USA SW (Rounds 5-6)
USA West (Rounds 5-6)
Scenic Tour goes East (unlimited)
USA Great Lakes (Rounds 7-8)
USA New England (Rounds 7-8)
Route 66 (Rounds 7-8)
USA SE (Rounds 7-8)
USA (Semifinals and Championship rounds) (chained)
The scoring system is as follows:
Rounds 1-4: 1st place-3 pts
2nd place-2pts
3rd place-1 pts
4th place- 0 pts
Rounds 5-6:1st place team-4 pts
2nd place team-2 pts
3rd place team-1 pts
Rounds 7-8:1st place-3 pts
2nd place-2pts
3rd place-1 pts
4th place- 0 pts
Round 9:1st place-5pts
2nd place-4pts
3rd place-3 pts
4th place-2 pts
5th place-1 pt
6th place-0 pts
4 highest total point scorers advance to final
Round 10:Winner takes all!
The 4 players with the lowest overall point totals will be eliminated at the end of each stage. any possible ties will be broken via a 1v1 (or if 3 players tie for last spot 1v1v1 and vice versa if it comes to that) on a USA map escalating chained sunny. The 4 highest total point scorers will advance from the semifinals to the finals
