The only reason JOHNNYROCKET24 has not got a Conq medal is because he has no screen shot?!? There are surely enough players still around from that time who can confirm he held the rank?

i'm not saying he cheated or not. i'm merely commenting on what you said that it doesn't matter how one gets to conqueror. my memory is a bit rusty but i'm pretty sure we had at least one guy that got to conqueror and was busted for cheating.
i wouldn't give such a person a medal.

JR has previously admitted to farming to get to conqueror but this was before the rules were in place to specifically ban that strategy. You cannot retroactively hand out punishments, he followed the rules at the time.

again, i'm not talking about jr24. i honestly can't remember the name but i know somebody reached conqueror rank then got busted (officially) for being a cheater and got a point reset. that would be the type of person that should not get a conqueror medal despite being #1.

I was ranked number 1 prior to Gibbon winning the battle royal and claiming my spot. Than the conqueror rank was established. Later, I made a 2nd run for conqueror and passed Poo Maker in late December/January. The best I could provide was a screenshot of 3rd place. Poo Makerretook the lead and I dropped out since my goal was achieved. Apparently, I need to supply proof that I held this rank to receive the medal. Others got theirs because a "congrats" thread was located when they became conqueror. Funny thing is, I remember Blitzaholic asking me if I wanted a thread started and I told him dont bother not realizing that I would need it years later for a medal.

I was kind of sympathetic to this cause, but now I feel like you should probably just stop getting other people to chime in with his whining. Go earn it.

Then with them behind you put in the request however it is needed to get to the right place. The farming rules have not changed enough for it not to put anyone on the throne who does not see any wrong in chewing up low rankers for 4 to ten points a game. Cheating seems to be a fine line around here.

I'm sure it wouild require someone to write a program that does some math, (that is what computers do though, but I would think it would be possible to run through games ending and replay after every game that ended, what the scoreboard looked like. In other words, after the first game that ever ended on cc, we could calculate everyone's scores at that moment. And then just go through all games. It's millions of games, but how hard is that for a computer. I think it could be done, and then we could easily show who was in first place at any point in time.

ps. I remember him being conqueror, but I don't know if I ever saw him on the score board, or if I just heard someone say it.

I know it's rough bouncing back off a long post bender. Coming back from a real life cc banz0r can really take a tole on your psyche. While with all the old woes, memories of love and capitalism.. strange bedfellows. I'm living proof though that it can be done and eventually you can make a comfy little nest.
