I think it should have no bonuses - no drops - no standard deployment
instead the two spaces in the center get auto-deploy of 3 each turn and are a one way attack to a few of the spaces that circle the center...
(Not sure what the blue dots are)
Have both areas that block the goal (The Goallies) as a Killing Neutral - that each turn it turns back to a Neutral automatically of Qty 6 maybe?
The goals themselves are a trapped spot - from (The Goallies) they can assault the Goal - and move troops into the goal. But once in the goal - those troops can not do anything - no way to attack.. (or allow them to bombard the regions next to the goally on the other side - Basically trade score points for additional goally Support for opposite side of board.
Then have winning condition as the first player with like 30 troops in their goal..

It might indeed be fun if that it's possible, betiko wrote:could be fun to have an option with team tactics, such as chosing before it starts what you want (and without knowing you opponent's tactic like irl, you would need to browse in his former games to see what he is likely to use), 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 3-4-3..
is that an XML option?
I do not know if you can do that in XML.betiko wrote:could be fun to have an option with team tactics, such as chosing before it starts what you want (and without knowing you opponent's tactic like irl, you would need to browse in his former games to see what he is likely to use), 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 3-4-3..

What direction would you go then Bruce?Bruceswar wrote:Aleena wrote:I see it as a 1v1 map only...

Ugh no thx... This map can do soo much better. All those are crazy ideas and this map does not need them.
Do you mean answer some questions or take the project over?jdean1 wrote:Would anyone want to assist me in the GIMP department?

I mean help me with GIMP, so it would be more of a co-op. I would do more on gameplay, and I would try to help some with GIMP and learn as I go.koontz1973 wrote:Do you mean answer some questions or take the project over?jdean1 wrote:Would anyone want to assist me in the GIMP department?
Most of the GIMP users here (myself included) have a lot of things going on. Your best bet to keep this alive and to get it to the end is to do it yourself. Learn the programme, it takes a lot of time and commitment but it can be done with some effort. Remember, we all started somewhere and as far as I know, none of us have graphic experience before we started.jdean1 wrote:I mean help me with GIMP, so it would be more of a co-op. Lol, thought you said "dream team of us national players". Hat would ve been some joke. Not sure you re allowed to put the name of real life players though.jdean1 wrote:I was thinking maybe like a dream team or the U.S. National teams as the name of the players. Any suggestions?

Honestly, if you did this, you would get sued. Most names of famous players are copyrighted. Secondly, even though most players on CC are American, America is not really the market to aim a football map towards. You need to go global with this idea. Stay away from teams, current players etc. You can go down the homage route of using really old players names (some very famous ones like Banks (England) or Puskás (Hungary). But your best bet would be to just use normal names.jdean1 wrote:I was thinking maybe like a dream team or the U.S. National teams as the name of the players. Any suggestions?

Right now, you have a huge map, very little going on, try to think of ways to get more action involved. Look at the cricket map and the way it involves scoring, police, the stands and even the bar.
