Assassin Game over? [Answered]

I was playing the assassin game last night. 5 of us were still in. I eliminate Red from the game and then it immmediately says Game Over for everyone.
And my target wins the game. Please explain. The rules or instructions doesn't state what I did wrong.

the only person you can take out is your target...

Every person has a target, and if their target is eliminated first, they win. It doesn't matter who eliminates their target.
