Does Spamalot have a negative effect on the forum?

When I first came into the forum I asked to join them and they were very rude to me and called me names. Now that I've been around for a few days, it seems that Spamalot members also post in other forums and are generally rude to a lot of other people. I'm just wondering if people think that Spamalot detracts from their forum experience and should something be done about it?

We have pretty much stopped hijacking threads, so i dont see a problem. We spam almost all the time in our thread.

Come again? You came in, posted a lot of smilies, throwing off the flow of the page and created lag. Then, when you asked to join, I said that you didn't have enough posts to the requirements that we had set, and that I wasn't to happy with you after posting all those smilies. But, once you got to 200 posts (the required number to join Spamalot) that I'd take another look, and probably let you in.

Now, you say we post in other forums. Yes, of course we do. Just like the mods. Just like EVERYBODY ELSE.

Would you be willing to link the audience to your original run-in with Spamalot?
Please cite me a couple of examples of Spamalot members being rude to other posters outside of flame wars.

If you're going to make such an unpleasant and sweeping assertion I think it would befit you to back it up with a couple of concrete examples that don't consist purely of anecdotes and conjecture. Do you have any evidence of this claim, or did you just want to have a general whinge?

Also, how come you've formed such a strong opinion in such a short space of time? I find it remarkable that somebody who appears to be so new to CC would appear to know precisely the significance that 'Gfy' has here, and would have formulated so strong a grudge against both Hecter and Iliad already. Has a mod given you a multi scan yet? There's been quite a few malignant multiple accounts crawling these boards recently, and if I were them, I'd give you a quick checking over, just as a precaution.

I look forward to hearing your arguments in this thread, I'm sure they'll be both eloquent and rational; and there's no doubt in my mind that you'll be backing up every aspersion you cast with some sort of corroborating evidence.

Yes, Iliad reported me yesterday and the mods cleared me but busted some other guy that was in my game. I'll go look for some quotes to support myself, but I really was just looking for the general opinion of the forum. I am new, but in my short time here Spamalot has really been rude to me.

Hmm, well I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. But it's worth noting that you are the one who rolled up to Spamalot this evening and decryed everybody there as a 'troll'; and your sig is insulting to two Spamalot members. Can you blame them for perhaps being a little bit hostile to you?
Perhaps you might want to wash your hands of wrongdoing before you beseech the forum to support your point of view?
