THE SET-UP (Updated Sept 14)

You will receive your alignment PM when the draft order is revealed. Mafia and SK will choose roles as well - they may use any night actions from their roles in addition to their normal faction kill. You will have 48 hours to PM me with your desired role. Mafia will be allowed to speak with their teammates during this time. When the 48 hour period is over, I will send role PMs and Day 1 will begin.
THE DRAFT
When you sign up, you must PM the moderator (me) two numbers between 1 and 15 in the format (x,y). The lowest first number that is not repeated will have first pick of power roles. The next lowest first number that does not repeat get next pick, and so on until all of the non-repeating first numbers are assigned draft order. After that, the next pick will be the lowest number that was chosen by 2 players, with the lowest second number picking first. This pattern will continue for all first numbers chosen by 3 players, 4 players, etc. In the event of a tie where both players pick 2 identical numbers, they will be bumped to the end of the list, and the player to pick first will be determined at random. In the event of multiple ties, the lower-number ties will go before the higher-number ties.

Doctor - Each night you may target a player. If successful, you will prevent any and all kill attempts on that player. You may NOT target yourself.
Vigilante - Each night you may target a player. If successful, you will kill this player.
Jailkeeper - Each night you may target a player. If successful, you will protect that player from any and all kill attempts. Further, you will stop them from performing any night actions. You may NOT target yourself.
Bulletproof - You are bulletproof. You are immune to night kills.
Empowerer - Each night you may target a player. If successful, that targets night action(s) will be successful.
Bomb - You are the bomb. If you are successfully killed at night you will explode killing all players that targeted you.
Roleblocker - Each night you may target a player. If successful, that target will not be able to perform any night actions.
Tailor - Each night you may target a player. If successful, that player will read an alignment opposite their own for any investigation checks.
One-Way Busdriver - Each night you may target a player. If successful, any actions targeting you will target them instead.
Doublevoter - You are a doublevoter. Your vote counts as two for purposes of a lynch. This does not alter the number necessary for lynch.
Watcher - Each night you may target a player. If successful, you will see all players who targeted that player that night.
Tracker - Each night you may target a player. If successful, you will see all players that player targeted that night.
1. The moderator (Marashu) is always right. If I've made a mistake, I will do what I can to fix it. I don't mind if you point out a mistake, but my word one way or the other is final.
2. You may not edit or delete previous posts. Once submitted, your words stand.
3. You may not quote or allude to the wording of any PMs from the moderator. You may disclose the contents of your role PM (role, alignment, etc), but do so in your own words.
4. The game will not be discussed outside this thread, unless your role specifically says you can.
5. All ‘votes’ and ‘unvotes’ must be in bold, coloured red.(I.E. Vote: Bugs Bunny). If they are not, I will assume it is a joke vote and skip over it. Unvoting before voting again is helpful but not necessary.
6. Lynching requires a majority of the town vote, once the majority has been reached any unvotes will not be counted. The majority is half the players alive (round down) +1.
6a. Lack of majority will result in a no-lynch.
7. You may vote ‘no lynch’ to end the day without a death.
8. Days will last 7-10 days, dependant on players remaining (D1 will be 10 days).
9. Lengths of nights will be approximately 48 hours from the time the scene is posted. If you have a night action and do not plan on using it, please let me know by sending me a "No action" PM. I will not be hunting you down, so if I don't get a PM from you by the end of the night, I'm going to assume no action.
10. Once your death scene has been posted, it's over for you. You can no longer post anything related to the game. Whining is alright, "Voices from beyond" are alright, as long as nothing of substance is revealed. This means you can post something like "Oh well. Go town!" but you cannot post and add to the discussion. This is a serious offence.
11. Be attentive and active in the game. You will be replaced or modkilled if you don't post. If something prevents you to participate for a long period of time, announce it here or via PM. Help everyone's enjoyment of the game by being active and sending your actions promptly.
12. You may not self-vote. If you wish to leave the game, contact the moderator.
13. You cannot post at night. You can do joke votes like "zzzzzz" if you want but don't let it get out of hand.
14. If you have any questions or doubts, send a private message to the moderator and ask for help. If something is unclear, I would rather have too much communication over not enough.
15. I will be doing daily vote counts. Monday-Friday they will be at 6AM EDT. Vote counts will be later in the morning during the weekend or on holidays.

THE PRIZES
1) All players on the winning team will be awarded a General Achievement medal.
2) One player will be awarded an MVP prize of 3500 credits. Anyone on the winning team will be eligible, and will be decided by a vote. In the unlikely case of a tie, the 3500 credit reward will be divided among the tying teams, to be given to a voted MVP for each team.
3) Up to three players will be awarded a Mod's Choice prize of 500-1500 credits, to be divided as I feel they are warranted. These will be awarded to players who keep the game moving, encourage discussion, help their team (in the case of everyone who is not an SK), and maintains a positive attitude in the context of the game (I'm not expecting puppies and rainbows in a mafia game).

A) The SK normally reads town, so if hit by the tailor, the SK would read mafia.
Q) What happens if the Jailkeeper and the Roleblocker target each other?
A) Nirvana. But seriously, both roleblocks happen, and neither can use any other night actions, if they have any. The Roleblocker does not receive the benefit of the Jailkeeper's protection.
Q) What happens if a player protected by the Doc, Jailkeeper, or Bulletproof attempts to kill the Bomb?
A) In the case of the Jailed player, the Bomb and player both live. In the other cases, the Doc and Bulletproof protect against kill attempts. Because the Bomb is a passive response to a successful kill, no attempt is made and the protected player also dies (though the Doc will live, because they did not target the Bomb).
Q) If the Busdriver targets the Bomb to redirect, and the bomb dies, does the Busdriver also die?
A) Yes, the Busdriver, in addition to anyone redirected by the Busdriver, would die in this situation.
Q) How are the Double Voter's votes handled?
A) They are weighted twice. The Double Voter does not get a second vote to place elsewhere, or withhold their second vote. Because there may or may not be a Double Voter, I have been withholding numbers from the daily vote count.
Q) Can the mafia/SK have a second night kill if they are the Vigilante?
A) Yes. They get one faction kill, which in the case of the mafia may be carried out by either living member, and one Vigilante kill which may only be performed by the player with that role.
Q) If an Empowered character targets the Busdriver, the Busdriver targets the Bomb, and the Bomb dies, who dies?
A) The Bomb dies, whichever player killed the Bomb dies, the Busdriver dies for targeting the Bomb. The Empowered character does not die, because they were not successfully redirected (the Empowerer guarantees that the night action works as intended)
