Oh just shut the fuck up. If you're going to try and state that $30 isn't a lot of money, do so intelligently. Of course you can buy a decent lunch for under 20 quid. Just like not all of the US is New York, not all of the UK is London. Dumbass.Dukasaur wrote:If he lived in Bangladesh or something, where $30 is a lot of money, I would be sympathetic. But cod lives in the U.K., where $30 won't even buy a decent lunch.

Aye, and even in central London I have eaten plenty of meals which only cost around 10 pounds ($15).Serbia wrote:Oh just shut the fuck up. Bollocks in 2015.
if you can't physically join the games because you aren't premium, that is a bit of an issue, right? *eyes rolling*...-Jésus noirmrswdk wrote:I don't understand why everyone's jumping on OP. Isn't premium merely a requirement for entry?
I haven't seen any rule that says if you join a tournament which is only open to premiums, you have to maintain your premium membership all the way through until the end of the tournament (just like if you join a tournament which is only for players with over 2000 points, you aren't booted if your points drop below 2000 during the tournament).

How are deadbeats usually handled in tournaments? (I mean specifically, deadbeats who don't accept their game invites)mrswdk wrote:I don't understand why everyone's jumping on OP. Isn't premium merely a requirement for entry?

According to the records, he did receive that prize.. He should have received the 2000 credits and Bronze trophy, from what I can make of it. In any case, it must be a British thing, because literally nobody other than you understood that the first time.mrswdk wrote:He didn't need to join any more games. He was beaten in his semi-final, and so finished third.
He's complaining about not being given the 3rd place prize on account of his premium running out during his final game.

I saw it too. Presumably someone got the 3rd/4th place prize instead.DoomYoshi wrote: He should have received the 2000 credits and Bronze trophy, from what I can make of it. In any case, it must be a British thing, because literally nobody other than you understood that the first time.
Another Brit... So who got the prizes? It shouldn't be hard to figure out, they will be the only 2 people with Bronze Championship trophies. We just have to e-lynch them and ostracize them and start a mass exodus of the site, and then justice will be served.WingCmdr Ginkapo wrote:I saw it too. No, its completed and the prizes are listed as having all already gone out. In other words, general cod won the "owenshooter of the week" award.notyou2 wrote:is it possible the prizes are only awarded after the tourney is complete? It sounds like it is still going.
Its just not CricketDoomYoshi wrote: EDIT: Nobody got the prize. Junior Bee got his prize but there was nothing else given. What a spiteful way to handle this.
I'm sure most people got the point without feeling it necessary to split hairs about whether it's one lunch or two lunches, or the price of a case of beer, or four packs of cigarettes, or 75% of a tank of gas in my Sentra, or 30% of a tank of gas in a big pig SUV, or a pair of jeans at a discount store. Basic point is, if you live in any G7 country, $30 is pin money.Serbia wrote:Oh just shut the fuck up. If you're going to try and state that $30 isn't a lot of money, do so intelligently. Well, I don't know the backstory, so I probably should be staying out of this, but my experience with running another one of the Championships series is that BW insists on a very strict and literal interpretation of the rules. The tourney specs say that freemiums will be allowed only in Round 1, and must buy premium thereafter. So, from BW's point of view, I can see that far from not being cricket, it is exactly cricket. BW believes that an event will not be respected unless the rules are interpreted strictly and literally.WingCmdr Ginkapo wrote:Its just not CricketDoomYoshi wrote: EDIT: Nobody got the prize.
