Hang on? If I take all the guns then can the ducks attack me? I get that ducks kill other ducks, and guns kill everything, but I'm not clear on whether the ducks can get to the guns somehow.
In other words is holding all the guns essentially an auto-win?

i'm a bit unsure about this. because of the bonuses to be exact.
with so many bonuses it's ery likely that a player will receive quite a lot in the first turn especially in 1v1 games.
and if we're talking about unlimeted fortif then the game can be over in round 2.
there are 20 terits so in 1v1 each player gets 6 terits.
those 6 can very easily include 3 guns and 3 ducks of the same color. that's +5. +5 and +3 for the terits = +8 from turn 1. add those 8 on top of 3 and you get a 11 army which can easily kill 3 terits of the opponent if not more.
in doodle you have just 1 continent with 3 terits. here you have many many more.

Another idea to reduce the amout of attacks possible, as right now any one gun can attack any territroy on the board, perhaps just having the gun be able to attack only the 2 ducks in front of it. But the you would have to get rid of the 2 guns on the side. This could work vice versa too.
Another idea is only to enable guns beside each other to attack each other

Yes Dim....i understand...i just had a speed game of doodle earth and i won the game first turn of the fourth round. Talk about quick. I got n america and two on s america in the carve up. so it is possible there also.
That's what this is designed to be.... a quick game.
I'd be happy to consider other bonus suggestions if you have them with explanantion, m8!

yep of course in doodle earh is also possible i didn't say it isn't i just said that here it's more likely to happen here than on doodle.
you got 8 guns and 4 groups of ducks, why not make colored guns like domination said. make them green blue yellow red green blue yellow red.
this way they are interlaced.
make 3 ducks of the same color worth +1, +2 if owned with 1 gun of same color and +4 if owned with 2 guns of same color.
also make the guns only attack adjacent guns and ducks of their color.
if you do so you not only reduce the number of possible attacks but also reduce the possibility of getting a big bonus from round 1.

There is nothing in the Foundry rules that i have read that says maps have to be geographical. This is a concept, that can provide gun attack tactics, applicable to guns (for war) and not hurting wildlife or humans. No different from putting balls down a clown's mouth.

Have you ever started a map and had someone talk you out of it because pretty much every map you start seems to make theere way through the foundry
I dunno, this concept is kinda lame. The main problem with this map is that is has no purpose. Its just like some 'thing' with army circles.
Like always, there may be a market for this map and some people may play it and like it, but I think a map as simple and uh... cheap .. as this kinda devalues the rest of the maps, of which people have worked very hard on.
Not to say you didnt work hard on this or anything, but I think CC already has a problem with 'too many maps' and something of this insignificance which just be adding more to the clutter.
The foundry rules don't state that a map should be geographical but they should at least meet a minimum standard of relevance. With 5 more maps like this, CC would be just a step from landgrab. No offense or anything.

oh yes tim02....i've had one go down in the foundry itself (sydney 2000) and one go down in new ideas (halloween)....on both occasions lack of support. As i have stated previously, i don't expect every idea that i have will succeed, but there is no harm in trying if there is a market out there for small maps/concepts.
I have just finished the map movement stats for this last fortnight, and you can't tell me that there is not a small market out there since Doodle Earth still continues to run second to Classic as the map with the most number of games started.
