Hi. I'd like to sign up. This will be my first mafia, and I've read the wiki on mafia games from wicked's thread. However, I'm still not sure on the roles. Does anyone mind explaining them when they're decided upon?

Umm they'll be a noob mafia ran before this starts up. I really don't like to use brand new players in my games since my games tend to be nonvanilla.

Which roles confuse you?
I get the basic roles of townie and mafia, and all the basic rules, but when I clicked the link for roles I noticed there were like 300+ "variable" roles like serial killer and vigilante, etc. I don't feel like reading for a couple hours just to memorize a list of possible roles, when only a couple will likely ever be used.
most common roles in any mafia games are
cop= investigate someone
doc= protect someone
roleblocker= prevents someone's action from being performed
vigiante= night killer on protown side
bus driver= trades 2 people's places during the night
bomb= blows up and kills person who hammers them as a lynch
PGO= paranoid gun owner = kills someone that targets them at night. sometimes wil only target bad guys depending on the mod.
serial killer = killer that has to survive and kill both town and mafia
cult= recruit players. if target a mafia the cult recruiter dies.
Godfather= turn up innocent on cop investigations, sometimes immune to being night killed
Mafia Janitor= covering up the role of the person night killed by the mafia.
those are the most common roles given, but it could have others. Note saying these roles does not hint or imply that any of these roles will be in my game.

Cena will you be able to handle having between 15-20 people in the game since you said that having too many people posting in the civil war was the problem in the last game I ran?
This game will be ran as a more conventional nonvanilla game with a few twists in it as opposed to the Civil War where I was doing a trial setup that I think came out ok

I guess I'll play, I'm hoping the player list picks up. Theres a lot of players in one or no games at the moment that I'd like to see in this *cough* serbia, nark, mandy, tonka, sierra *cough*, seeing as this is an LSU game.
I heard your games are teh r0x, so I want in. The only problem is: I'll be away from february 2nd to february 9th. I can imagine the game can't be put on hold for that long, but maybe I can get someone to sub for me during that time?

Yea I'm hoping a few of them will sign up as well Nag. I'll give them a couple of days to try to discover this for themselves before I send an invite. Dont think I'll get to 20 for a few more days anyway plus I won't be readyto actually start it until at lest January 15th although I have the preliminary 15 roles figured out. Just in the process of doing the typing out the initial infomation.
Ok Cena then no excuses this time as I am giving you the chance since this is a medium size game as opposed to my super size ones although it's fun to do those sometimes.
