I thought that it would be your turn again after 12 hours, if you played 1 vs 1 freestyle and you ended last turn and waited for the other player to take his/her turn?

Well now one of my games are down on less than 12 hours and it is still not my turn? Game number 1640593.

You're misunderstanding the rule change, methinks. The 12 hours only comes into effect at the very beginning of a round, for the first 12 hours of a round. What happens is that Matt ended the last round, which means he cannot start the new round. You have to start the new round. However, if in 12 hours you have not started the new round, Matt would be able to take his turn regardless.

The 12 hours isn't enacted whenever you end your turn. That would be grossly unfair.
