Confirmed. He did, in fact, do it.

What's next for Phelps? The only thing left to do is get 3 more medals (to become the most decorated olympian of all time), get 8 gold w/8 world records, and least impressive of all, get a silver medal.

One of his golds was only an olympic record.

I know that's why I brought up 8 golds with 8 world records.

He already is the most decorated Olympian of all time. He's got like 15 medals.

He is not. It's Лариса Семёновна Латынина (Larissa Latinyna). She's got 18 (9 gold, 5 silver, 4 bronze)
(Although he has most golds...)

I forgot to say - his arms are ENORMOUS!! He's significantly shorter than Cavic, but I have an impression that he has a longer arms...

Yeah, he won a million bucks
. And he was missing only one gold (to win a million) in Athens...

Only 23 years old, right? If he keeps in shape he could be competing all the way into 2016. He will definitely win a few more gold medals over in London.

I wouldn't be surprised if they created a new award after him. Oh and by the way, Phelps has 16 medals (14 gold; 2 bronze), not 15.

Unlikely. The 2012 Olympics are a sure thing, but there will come more talent and he will get beaten.

Oh it must have been the all time most golds. But he's obviously gonna smash that record next time around.

Did anyone see the clip of the 100m fly... That was insane the other guy was a cm from the line and phelps just did this massive movement of his arms to get it.
Also, in one of the other races he got water in his goggles and had to do the race blinded and won it by counting his strokes.

A lot of people i've talked to think he is really cocky and snotty, but he really isn't. Ive met him at a Fleet Swim Camp (where i got his autograph!) and he couldn't have been more nice. He definately is the greatest olympian of all time.
