First one: Austrian-Hungary Empire
The Austrian-Hungary Empire was based in Europe and in its borders contained roughly 11 different types of ethnicity groups. These could be the basis of continents, with some maybe intermixing. I'm not too sure how many territories this could have, but maybe Hungary could be split into numerous areas as well.
Second: Peloponnese
A landmark that was fought over for centuries in ancient times. Obvious continents could possibly be the ones in the image, and territories you'd have to research more.
Third: Ottoman Empire: At its peak
Though I know there is already an Ottoman Empire map in construction, this is the map of it at its peak. Though this could be be seen just as another Europe/Near East/North Africa map, it incorporates the Western Mediterranean Sea only, and much of the Black Sea. Territories could just be the districts that were around that time, or maybe the major cities in those areas.
Well, I'd love to see these maps incorporated into CC, as each has a large history behind it. Thanks :]
