A HALO OR CALL OF DUTY MAP

How about a map based on halo or call of duty.based on the game not exactly like it.

well, I am not a part of the group that would approve or disprove this, but I do see to major problems with it. First, and most difficult to overcome, is the issue of copyrights on both of those games. Either the maps would have to be changed enough to not violate the copyrights, or whoever made the map would have to get permission from the copyright holders. Second, neither of those games is a strategy game, so making anything similar would be... difficult. I'd like to know what you mean by that. Do you mean make some small changes to a map created for either game? or try to make a map that functions like a shooter game?

theyre not going to be the same just strongly related like say we use a map from cod5 just with some changes i though it over in my head and it looked ok. Both games require stategy.

The Map team won't agree to something where you say "This is Palo, not Halo. This isn't Call of Duty 4, this is Tall and Moody 5", or anything like that. Changing a few words and making the rest similar to the games won't pass.

I have to agree. To get it passed you would have to make it so very different that it wouldn't resemble, play-like or remind players of the games. You would then be left with a map that is essentially completely random....which kinda defeats the purpose of the idea....

If you look at the maps that have been created, most of them reflect some period in history, place or time.

I hate to say it but I am not sure how well that would work in the Halo side of this but a future age war map with it's own theme might work. Try it

We've still got Tamriel, despite Hasbro's recent... interference, so maybe maybe it'd work. But give us something to chew on, ideas, concepts, special territories and whatnot.
