New forting??

Why did you guys break something that didn't have any problems with it.
The new forting really bites.
Put it back to how it was before.

Up to date with the current events eh?

There have been several complaints about the new forting and more compliments. The largest poll I have seen has the majority well in favor of the change. Spend some time, get used to it and then you will realize its an improvement.

Not the automatic selection of the maximum troops to reinforce, surely?

I usually use CM casually, so what side it's on doesn't really matter to me personally.

where exactly is this poll? i think the new system is rediculous. What was the point of it? it doesn't even have a point! All it has done is upset many people (and what i think is the majority also). If i see hard evidence that the majority of the players like the new forting system (i won't even call it an improvement) then i will close my yapper, but until then i will bash the genius whos idea it was to waste time and fix a perfectly arranged setup.

What exactly do you not like? Because I'd hate to see lack go back to having the dropdown automatically selecting 1 army because people aren't clear in their complaints...

how about it just becomes a player option in the control panel over whether you want max or min fort

haha I just don't like it cuz my brain and many other braines don't think in the same sense as it is displaying.

1. A more common sentence would be to say: Fort ? armies from ? to ?
Fort 3 armies from Spain to France.

2. A less common way would be to say: From ? to ? fort ? armies
Fort Spain to France fort 3 armies.

It isn't so much the Max and Min that people don't like its the way the phrase is put. It is said in an uncommon way. I don't think there is any language that uses the second way to express what we need to express.

Once again the Max and Min are ok, that is a small issue but the wording of the phrase is retarded and it psychologically and subconciously goes against peoples natural instincts. (

I think a handfull of idiots asked for it to be changed, like most changes on this site there seems to be little logic for it and little discussion, well unless you know how to find the relevant topic about sumfing before it happens you cant be involved......a simple system of a mass email and vote pre any change would solve a helluva lotta things here but it seems the mods fear sensible ideas and bury the discussions in posts where only other tits read .....believe it or not most people play here for fun not to be involved in forums.....

I reckon they should roll the whole site, maps n all back about 6 months...

Exactly my point. Well said. I have been a member here for 2 years, and after 2 years of playing, I automatically think in Form #1, as stated above.
This new forting screws me up, and 50% of the time I either missfort, or take so damn long , i get frustrated.
I have been trying to adapt, and really do not believe this new system was needed. I have now lost at least 3 games as a direct result of this so called improvement.
IF IT ISN't BROKEN DO NOT FIX IT!!!!!!

If you are going to play with this stuff, at least leave the old way available as an option, so us older players can enjoy the game, in the manner we have been playing it all along.
