hey,
my big brother just saw me playing this and told me to write this here.
he got banned for having more than one account a few years ago and reckons i will too cause of the ip.
Any advice? or am i covered just by writing this here?

Firstly... tell me about your brother, how God-awful must he be to not have informed you of such a great game when he first joined?

Secondly... he "caught" you on this site? Really? What kind of a little-brother are you to not share such a fascinating site with your older brother as soon as you had found it?

3rdly... What was the conversation about CC like? Was your brother shocked to see you on it? Was he reminded of his good'ol days?

Believe me when I say I am a walking, talking example of a family member cliche on this site. I am going to take your statement at face value and not just skeptically throw it under the rug... so help me get there. I find it very odd that:

- Your brother found an amazing site on which to play great variations of a strategy game.
- Your brother realized that he could maximize his "fun" by making another or more accounts, completely neglecting CC's #1 rule.

- A few years later, low and behold he happens to strut along the house, on his way to the kitchen to get an apple when... what catches his eye? That all-too-familiar and outline of the CC white grey and green.

- He tells you that the site you're on is a site he used to be on where he was kicked out for cheating. Does he tell you CC is a horrible place with horrible mods and you should be careful of being wrongly kicked out? Does he tell you CC is a great place and asks you to put in a good word for him? Maybe he can come back?

- You figure: Hey... if my brother was a cheater and I'm using the same computer he did... I'd better make sure nobody thinks I'm cheating too!

It's very interesting.

It's lancehoh job, YOU dont even have the tools to see if he's cheating or not...
So get off your high horses and give a break to the guy that tries to abide by the rules.Management will decide if he isnt/wasnt.

2nd, I think mentioning if you have a 2nd account for some reason, or someone playing off the same IP is what CC wants you to do.

in case you are too ignorant to look at the past of CC you will see that the community plays a massive role in the cheating and abuse system

i dont recall the exact name but a multi charge was over turned because enough people thought they werent multis

lance and King A do work their asses off to find multis, and do a damn good job, but they also appreciate the help the community gives
are we always helpful? no, but we do help
people correct the form to help he system to even going through past game history of the players to compile significant informatino to prove the case one way or another.
so before you decide that the community is useless ask you self this, if the purpose was to be a conversation between: accused, accuser, hunter, then why is this entire forum public?

it is indeed, but that doesnt mean doing so clears you
can manimal suddenly have 8 siblings?
if you are saying that by posting here he has automatic freedom you are wrong again
by posting this just allows for players A & B to get the trial over with faster
they arent given any special breaks
the only thing they gain from posting is a bit more benefit of the doubt as they are coming out into the open about it

lol haha i see your points.... mmm well my brother is like 19 so prob wudn play anymore,

.....lukin 4 story. i stil dont get how this will help though. im doing exams and dont wana study hence why im on the pc lol, and my bro dont live here but comes over at da weekends, was talkin 2 him while playin and he got talkin nd helpin me....

no idea what his other accounts wer called nd yeah i get why u think that, i am suprised so many ppl care tho.

If i do get banned i should prob take a second to say how dodgey these dice seem... i have lost 2* 8 on 1 attacks 2day and one 10 on 1 attack and just lost a 16 on 3 attack, and only killed one. for any that play with real dice they will realise this like just shudnt happen. like the odds of losing 10 on 1 is rouglhy 1 in a thousand!!!!!!! i have been here like 2 days haha

the dice system on this site is very realistic, as it is just like real dice which is almost entire luck. Yes, there is attacker's advantage, but in reality you could roll a die three times and always have a number less than a 3 for example.

First off the open forum for C& A is designed to help obtain others opinions on situations before ruled upon by a moderator.

Only moderators rule upon cases, and I know what case you are referring to asub in the overturn and it wasn't cause of the presence of fellow cc members, it was most likely new evidence that came to light.

Secondly bugz you did the right thing by posting this information in the forum cause it allows this to be looked into under better terms then if it was looked into after an accusation was made on you. If he is found guilty of being the same accounts as before then that's what the evidence led the moderators to believe. SlayerQC was right in his post that this is what is wanted by the moderators.

Thirdly I would also throw some advice to directly email lancehoch or king achilles about your case.

(That's odd... she was logged out. "My Games" page was mine... but posting in the forums or the inbox took me to hers. Still not used to that. Oh well... Forums and Inbox and My games are now all under my name so thank the Lord for that...)

I believe a.sub and SlayerQ are right in the fact that mods need to know upfront. I know it's what we did when we joined. But I also know that you can be kicked out no matter how innocent you are.

And yes... I agree whole-heartedly. What he/she/they said! If you have to use similar IPs to other players, you stand more chance of not being wrongly banned than if you don't mention anything and when asked pull a story out of nowhere. At least I think so anyway. Then again... I was still banned even after explaining. Still don't know how or why it happened. I'm going to have to appeal to be able to doubles with Jazzy again lol.
