gif is horrible for almost anything, it only supports about 265 colors. PNG it probably hte best to hold quality, if you save it as a JPEG you can sethte quality as high or as low as you like.fireedud wrote:.gif is good for fair quality animations. I heard .png is good.

jpegs give you low quality? If you're working with Photoshop, you can save them to "12" quality, which doesn't give you any fuzzy compression. Also, on photobucket, if the original image was saved as a high-quality jpeg, you shouldn't lose any quality when uploading it (look at the images of my map here: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... &start=373). I think you only get compression on photobucket when uploading a .bmp.wcaclimbing wrote:I like to use .bmp, but Photobucket likes to convert my .bmp to .jpg.... .jpg makes my pictures lose quite a bit of quality
Remeber take the image size into consoderation, lack will reduce the image size to a suitable size as to not eat up to much bandwidth.wcaclimbing wrote:I went with jpg on highest quality, like DiM said, and it worked great.
My sig is still bad quality, but the full quality version is up in the map thread. (if you want to see it, click my sig).
Thanks everyone.
