Well... I figured I should read some of this crap.

Some of the posts were funny. And to the extent they were rants, I don't see anybody crying in their soup about it.

The Marie Antionnette chat was inexcusable. In fact, it was illegal and actionable. Slander - also a no no.

Think about it like this... if you ran a business and a guy was inside your store talking about how Jesus never existed, how Scandinavias are genetically superior, how Asians smell bad, you'd probably ask him to leave after enough customers complain. On the other hand, the guy who walks up to someone and says, "Hey baby, s*** my d***", repeatedly, using increasingly graphic language.... well, he gets himself the free ride in the police car, spends some time in country for sexual assualt, and learns the hard way just where corn comes from - end of story. A ban is too good for that guy.

The fact that Norse was banned for making editorial comments about race that were just not PC, rather than for using graphic sexual langauge to someone who could as well have been a kid, that's really sad and really diminishes my respect for this site. I think it would be better for all if they toughened up chat policy, and eased away from being thought police on the forums.

If I understood the explanations from the moderator(s) The Marie Antoinette incident was as much a reason as anything, added to the fact that he had been warned repeatedly and continued to thumb his nose at the warnings.

But, thank you for saying this. I have a 12-year-old daughter who plays on cc and if he had aimed those comments at her, I would have tried to bring him up on charges, and if I succeeded in locating him to do so, I would have won.

As far as his racist tirades, I don't know if I would have banned him for them or not if this were my website, but it's not mine, and I respect the right of those authorized by its owner to do so. That's a lot of the point. This isn't publicly owned; it's lackatack's candy store, and he has a right to maintain whatever standard of behavior he wants in it. You don't walk into somebody else's house and poop on the floor.

All this talk of Norse being "silenced" is drivel. He's a citizen of the UK and has the right to write letters to the editor, distribute leaflets, or stand on a streetcorner and declare his opinions.
