Ya Twice and MEPierce

Ta twice didn't make a single attack on MEPierce the entire game... even though yellow was by far the biggest threat the entire game. I posed little threat to blue in rounds 5 and 6 while yellow had control of Ireland and Scotland (combined 10 army/turn bonus- and both were poorly defended and could have easily been broken up) and I only had control of Land's end (2 army bonus) yet blue went out of his way to attack me and break up my continent even though it was pretty illogical to do so. Also, if you do a game search these 2 guys have played many games together, probably are friends. I cant say for sure there was foul play but it looks very suspicous to me, im sorry to both of those guys if they see this and im wrong.

MEPierce is a good player and im sure he could win many of those games himself, i dont know if this is cheating (coordinated and intentional) though or if it is just a couple of friends who play together, and his friend extended him a little bit of courteousy in my game without intent to play unfairly

Yes, We know each other and we have played from the same computer before, but never in a game that wasn't doubles.

I didn't realize that I didn't attack him in that game until I went back and checked the log, I was just trying to get a foothold to counter, but we three were squabbling over the lower territories while he was building up in the north.

I have NEVER extended any courtesy to anyone. He plays aggressively, I don't, I try to get a country and horde up waiting for the cards to be worth the turn in.

If it looks like we are collaborating, I won't play with him anymore, but I assure you we are not.

Ya Twice, most of the games you have played with him are singles games youve only played a couple doubles games. And i looked back through the game logs and i noticed you dont attack him very often (though it is difficult to tell what the actual game play is like, maybe you werent for good reason). And like i said maybe youre just leaving each other alone subconciously and never realized it before i said something.

Again, I'm sorry if you guys havent been cheating and I'm falsely accusing you, but it some of the moves seemed a little suspisious to me. If you werent helping each other illegally, i dont want to discourage you guys from playing together, it was a good game im cool with it and most of the other people here probably are too as long as youre both playing fairly.

Thanks for the clarification, but I think it would be best, considering what's been said, if He and I don't play in singles games together anymore.

I can't very well break RL contact with him since we live in the same apartment complex and work for the same company. SO unless it's a team game, I'm thinking no more singles together.

I think a point everyone is missing though is that I suck at Risk. (My 60ish games with less than 1k points should show that.)

I can't say if he's "extended me courtesy" or not, because I think he's only beat me like Twice, Ya.

BUT, I've never coordinated with Ya Twice other than the 1 or 2 doubles games we've played. And I only let him use my computer to make his moves at work when we weren't in any games together.

but I guess the solution is probably best, because there will always be a question if both of us don't loose the game from this point on.

well, if that's what you guys think is best. like i said earlier, i didnt think it was neccesarily blatant cheating, but i know how it is when you play with friends- you feel bad hurting your friend so you might subconciously leave them alone in a free for all game even though it isnt in your own best interest. i really dont want to discourage you guys from playing together if you werent trying to do anything malicious, so sorry i brought it up. you can still play doubles i guess, and i wouldnt mind you playing free for all games. i just felt like some actions from ya twice pretty much handed you the game, then i looked you two up and saw youd played many games together and got suspicious. sorry again, good game to you both

I have played in 3 games with these guys. Can't say that there multi's cause I did not suspect it. I did lose all three. well mepierce, ya twice and montecristo. all seemed like normal games except I lost, lol

yeah i tend to agree with AAFitz, i dont think Ya, Pierce, or the other guy in question were conciously cheating or conspiring. i think they may have unconciously been favoring each other, but i no longer think they were intentionally cheating
