I'm just guessing, but maybe because there were games being played on the map at the time, and lack didn't want to just kill those games. Also, there were tournaments already running that required the continued use of the map.Prankcall wrote:Why not just pull the ugly thing out of circulation?
I was just about to send out a PM to lack regarding this quote, and whether or not it precluded any foundry developing any maps with the Centerscape gameplay layout... when I noticed something. By "these maps," he was referring solely to Classic: Shapes and Classic: Art. In fact, the announcement only ever refers to classic, and makes no reference to centerscape in any way.oaktown wrote:lackattack wrote:Any further changes to these maps is also not an option.

I was thinking that he meant that they may be forced to make more changes to the maps, not that they couldn't be improved by the foundry.oaktown wrote:Lack's last mention of the situation in Announcements - which did not mention the Centrescape map specifically - was this...Believe me, I think that a Centrescape revamp is an absolutely brilliant idea. I really do hope that it will be able to happen at some point in the not-so-distant future, and again I'd be happy to either run it or participate in it For now, though, I think we need to give both that map and the classic map a bit of breathing room.lackattack wrote:Any further changes to these maps is also not an option.
