I mean this in the most respectful way....grow a set.
Your comments are not respectful, they're a mild form of harassment; you're essentially trying to criminalize me for others' nastiness because I don't happen to like it. That's like blaming the store owner for calling the police on a robber.
No one has been able to answer this repeated question: why should anyone PAY to be insulted and cursed at if they don't like being insulted or cursed at?
I've lived in some of the worst towns there are, for example, south side of Washington, DC, and was able to walk on a street in the dark with drunks and dealers around me, and still didn't hear from them the amount of nastiness I hear here on this site. Someone attempted to mug me, but didn't succeed. I broke his nose for him.
As to "grow a set"... I'm a girl. I carry my balls, which are a lot bigger than a man's, up high on my chest, way out in front, and yes, they're soft... but I still don't like being cyber-raped, harassed, or mugged any more than I would appreciate being actually raped, harassed, or mugged and don't believe I or anyone else should be required to tolerate nastiness and harassment in order to play a stupid game. Those that like it or don't mind it don't have to complain; those that dislike it should be able to complain AND those complaints should be acted on. The lack of action, mild or less mild, serves to encourage more of the nastiness.
Why don't you grow a set of brains? The answer to harassment and nastiness isn't, "make the recipient seem to be a criminal for disliking it."
It doesn't take a set of balls to flame someone who's sitting across thousands of miles of electronic pathways. It doesn't show, "Gee, I'm such a man," to call someone a fucking retard or shove a "thing" up a man's or woman's cyber-holes.
People aren't wusses for disliking it, and aren't showing a lack of balls to make statements saying admin should address unwanted harassment in order to make a site more friendly to ALL, rather than make political ploys by shutting down portions of a forum where those who enjoyed the cyber bickering, flaming, raping, cursing, and other things as a form of "fun" could partake to their hearts' content, but those who didn't want to be around it didn't have to click the link.
But if someone's flamed, cyber-raped, cursed at, and generally harassed when trying to be SOCIAL or trying to discuss a GAME in chat, and doesn't like it, the answer from admin and moderators shouldn't be, "suck it up you wuss," as it continues to be. That emotional children might say that, I understand. That officials, whether voluntary or paid, would say that, says more about this site than anything you, korda, or I could say. And as I told the new admin, many mods, and as many people as I can reach in threads like this, what it says is, "go f*ck yourself if you don't like it." When I began my campaign of complaint against that type of 'chat' I wasn't using as nasty words about it. When I realized people weren't going to listen unless I used nasty words, and even then were unlikely to act, is when I chose to stop playing here.
It takes more balls for people to stand up for what's right, especially when it's unpopular, than to tolerate what's wrong. That's how women got to vote, how black people got legal freedom and other rights, how the mentally or physically disabled won the right to be educated, to work, to play along with everyone else without being subjected to nastiness. They continued to say what needed to be said to get those in control to see the rightness of addressing the wrongs, despite being jeered at for saying it.
So, go, korda1, I hope your efforts eventually bear meaningful fruit.
