Not a complete liar. He promised to shut down the National Bank I believe he followed through with that promise. He swore to make the British pay for what they did to his family I believe he followed through on that too. He promised the first to start shooting if his troops tried to go back to Tennessee and I'm damn sure he would have followed through iwth that too.

Who told you bull. I can't stand people who think that all politicians are lies. There are many members of Congress of course you are going to have a few unpleasant people but I believe that the large majority of them our honest people.
Not everyone's a liar but plenty lie to get what they think needs to be done (and sometimes jsut what they want done to help themselves) across.

I know what I am talking about. Yes at that time just about everyone had a grudge towards indians but honesty was also considered very important at that time. Much more than it is now.
Yes and they believed all men were created equal just not the "property" they had picking cotton in their fields.

Multiplatinum records doesn't justify a band being good. Finding popularity by means of making bad music that just so happens to fill the pleasure center of the people who just want to be entertained and don't care about any real depth to the music in anyway doesn't make them a good band.

if it does than we should be handing out grammies to Miley Cyrus and company.

I'm not getting into an argument with a mental midget. People much more educated than us can not even agree on this so I'm not expecting any different here.
What do historians know that we don't. If they think good of Jackson they sure must not know there facts.
Probably the fact that it's their job to learn as much about historic facts and the scenarios around these facts as possible..

Oh, really? Come back and discuss this like a man.

Regardless of what you think about Gene & Paul or even Ace. If you don't like the songs you don't like rock music in my opinion.
Wow. Really? So I don't like Kiss does that mean I don't like AC/DC? The Who? Led Zep? The Rolling Stones? Or does it mean that these bands and many others don't count as rock music?

My fav. characters in SSBB:
1: Lucario (big shocker, right?)
2: Captain Falcon
3: Samus
4: Snake
5: Wolf
my list:

1 Capt. Falcon
2 Ike
3 Samus
4 Falco
5 Wolf
I kinda figured wolf would be #1 on your list.

If it was just the three I kept listed this would be alright. and no capt. Falcon? sigh.
I've never tried him. I'll have to try him soon.
Don't give up on him too fast. I thought he sucked at first until I got my timing down.

JJM, historians are taught to see history in "gray" rather then "black and white" as many historical events had good and bad effects, as well as the people who caused those events. Just like Andrew Jackson. Yes, he did betray his native allies and force them out of their homes and historians do not excuse that, but there is always a flip side to something or someone and Jackson is no exception. He is the reason that the British were driven off for the final time in the War of 1812 (the Battle of New Orleans), and also made it possible for the common man (oh, like you and me and most everyone else) to vote, rather then being limited to white, christian, landowners. Historians see the give AND the take, not just one over the other. Historians make it their life's work to understand history for a reason, so that pseudo historians and alternate historians are not taken seriously by most people.
"Eh, whatever."

They wrote those resources. You write in here.
A historian studies something by reading books about it and then they right there own book. We read it but just don't write a book about it.
Dude, you are clueless. How do you think they get the info to write those books? A book just doesn't magically appear for them to research from. Historians have to spend thousands of hours poring over obscure papers and diaries or anything to piece together what was happening in whatever time period they are studying. Get a clue.
