Why on earth should they be fired?Phatscotty wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tvMs_ybYGU
will whoopi and joy be Fired for this?
Well I hate whoopi but I think a lot of people like her. It's the yelling and obnoxious sensationalism that scores all the ratings.ViperOverLord wrote:The show was much better after they left. But I'm not their target audience. Even still, I question whether their target audience could still not be served by more rational and likable hosts.
Agreed. There must be a significant segment of their audience that appreciates 'zaniness' and 'charisma.' But I still wonder if overall it brings the show the biggest possible pay day. But maximizing viewership is not the only factor in producing a show despite how people love to talk about that element. The Bison King wrote:Well I hate whoopi but I think a lot of people like her. oh, just quoting barbera walters (did you even watch?) Ya know the part where Barbera says "Hosts should NEVER do that"The Bison King wrote:No. Why would they be? It's their show. Are you stupid?
Is Barbara Walters their boss? If not, then I would say the answer to your last question is "yes".Phatscotty wrote:oh, just quoting barbera walters (did you even watch?) I think a host doing something a "host should never do" might be grounds for firing? Maybe I am stupid tho?
Actually, I do not know if she OWNS it, but I do know Walters CREATED it, and I really do think it's her show more than anyone elses....Woodruff wrote:Is Barbara Walters their boss? However, I was impressed with how Ms Walters handled it. He obviously didn't at all agree with O'Reilly, but still recognized that the discussion needed to happen.
I was NOT AT ALL impressed with Whoopi, Joy OR Bill in this one. All three looked like asses.

Outrageous?PLAYER57832 wrote:He made the outrageous statement that it was Muslims who bombed the trade center and that is why no Mosque should stand and that Obama's simple statement that people have religious freedom in this country was somehow "unamerican".

He had to talk over some disrespectful hosts. They invited him on a show and then were not willing to listen to his view on a show called 'The View.' Furthermore they are very content to label him. Just look at the website: http://theview.abc.go.com/. Currently he is labeled as a 'conservative host.' He is not a conservative host and he has stated that numerous times. I guarantee they aren't labeling Anderson Cooper or George Stepanopolis as 'liberal hosts' when they are interviewed.jaimito101 wrote:o'reilley's an ass, can't stand his ignorance everytime he speaks. repeating his argument and raising his voice is all he does.
on the turnside, if you're hosting the show and you invite a guest, keep him in control or ask HIM to leave.
Yeah, well.. you are Roman Catholic, so obviously you are responsible for all the violance against Protestants in Ireland.. oh, yeah, and the pedophile priests. and....tzor wrote:Outrageous?PLAYER57832 wrote:He made the outrageous statement that it was Muslims who bombed the trade center and that is why no Mosque should stand and that Obama's simple statement that people have religious freedom in this country was somehow "unamerican".
The sun is excessively hot and bright! ... Outrageous!
Objects tend to fall towards the center of gravity! ... Outrageous!
Muslims sent two planes into the World Trade Center and attempted to attack the White House and the U.S. Capitol. ... Outrageous!
But true. The above three statements are all true. Like it or not, they are all true.

This is the US, not Germany. And this is not on the site of 9-11. It is land already owned and used by the Muslim congregation.tzor wrote:"Christians" killed Jews during the Holocaust (technically not correct because Hitler was an Aryan Pagan but let's simplify). A Catholic Convent wanted to place a Cross near that site, many decades later. There was strong protests. Even the Pope told them to back down. They had the right. But they also had a responsibility. I am sorry, but there is no difference. .
Its not their congregation. Their opinion doesn't matter.... and neither does that of the "tea party wacko", as long as the laws of the area are followed.tzor wrote:And people tend to forget ... those relatives of Muslims who died in 9/11 ... I get blamed for these two things all the time. (Well not really the former as there are no Orange men on Long Island.) Of course the later is more of a smoke screen because not all pedophiles are priests, not all pedophile priests are Roman Catholic (do Orthodox Jewish Rabbis count under the notion of "pedophile priest" or do they count under their own separate cateory) while all of the 9/11 hijackers were Muslim.PLAYER57832 wrote:Yeah, well.. you are Roman Catholic, so obviously you are responsible for all the violance against Protestants in Ireland.. oh, yeah, and the pedophile priests. and....

The reasons given? Because if it was close enough to have been knocked down, then it might well interfere with plans for the site.tzor wrote: There is, by the way, a very large opposition against a Greek Orthodox Church by government authorities. Yes, well, Oklahoma was bombed by a Christian so of course you are guilty.Phatscotty wrote:Player, are you saying it was not Muslims that attacked on 9-11?
please do not respond with a full page of tap dancing and non-sequiturs. Either it was Muslims, or it was not Muslims.
Taxes are a joke. Regardless of what a political candidate "promises," they will increase. More taxes are always the answer to government mismanagement. They mess up. We suffer. Taxes are reaching cataclysmic levels, with no slowdown in sight

While the divisions are indeed deeper in Islam than in Christianity (while Christians generally had huge debates over doctrine they didn't go about killing the other's leders during the early centuries which happened in Islam) Al Qaeda is probably more friendly than the huge hostility that had existed between the Orance Men and the Irish Catholics, who were literally at war with each other. Al Qaeda will generally only attack other sects in order to further its goals against the Non Muslim Great Satan. The other case where the tangled web is woven is their common enemy the Zionist State of Israel.PLAYER57832 wrote:This is EXACTLY like saying I, and even you are to blame for the actions of the KKK because we are all Christian. So I am correct, but you still want to say I am wrong ... and did not answer my question, either.tzor wrote:While the divisions are indeed deeper in Islam than in Christianity (while Christians generally had huge debates over doctrine they didn't go about killing the other's leders during the early centuries which happened in Islam) Al Qaeda is probably more friendly than the huge hostility that had existed between the Orance Men and the Irish Catholics, who were literally at war with each other. All of this gets woven into the current project to build what was originally called Cordoba House right in the open wound of 9/11. You constantly try to wrap things into this that are just not true.
Sorry. First, Here is a photo of the former church. Here is a "fair and blanced" article on the subject. The most logical reason ... the church isn't bribing the officials of the corrupt port authority. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A FOUR STORY BUILDING. how did I know you would run from the question? Your deflection reveals your answer. Like I didn't know it already...PLAYER57832 wrote:Yes, well, Oklahoma was bombed by a Christian so of course you are guilty.Phatscotty wrote:Player, are you saying it was not Muslims that attacked on 9-11?

Actually, in truth, a lot of what you post here could be taken directly from McVeigh's writings.
Examples of McVeigh's writings, from Wikkipeadia article:Taxes are a joke. Regardless of what a political candidate "promises," they will increase. No, you obviously don't know... and likely did not bother to read.Phatscotty wrote: how did I know you would run from the question? Your deflection reveals your answer. !
