Or, should people be allowed to get as close as they want to a public figure, including crossing a marked security line and ignoring verbal cautions to stop, to deliver a one-off insult? Is that the "sanity" and "rational discussion" the Rally for Viacom, Inc. was about promoting?
Am I entitled run at the pig Obama wearing a disguise whenever he appears in public? If the pig Obama's SS terror troops tell me to back away should they only be permitted to use verbal cautions and if I choose to continue charging towards the pig in a disguise that is my sacred right and they best not lay hands on me?
Given the history of physical attacks on politicians in the USA, and the death threats Paul had received, this could just as easily have ended with blood on the pavement - as was the case with the lovely Monica Seles, ol' Saxi's FAV tennis star - instead of a sobbing, inept she-male on the pavement, curled in a fetal position, trying desperately to protect her tiny udders.
